Installed on a Dometic Brisk III 13500 btu AC. Couldn't measure start up amperage before, peak too quick for my meter (50+ amp peak I assume) after installing it, measured 29amp peak start up.(happens under 1s) My 2200w Generac generator runs the AC now. Don't hear the compressor kick on, so the AC is quieter.
Performs as advertised! Start up is much quieter and amp load is significantly less. Easy to install and technical support from actual designer was spot-on.
An accessory you should not do without. Allows me to run the Dometic AC unit on a 2500W propane fuel generator with no problem! Install was pretty straightforward, but access to the roof of the RV is always a bit of a pain.
Does what it's supposed to do - made my little genset capable of now running my A/C. Install was a bit complex, but your tech support was WAY HELPFUL during the install.

Great! The original review is still accurate
This is great. It allows me to run one of my AC with my 2200 generator/inverter. This also allowed us to run both units on a 30amp service without issue last summer. Using small generator /inverter unit we will be able to camp comfortable overnight without paying for campsite when traveling. Cost now will be 1/2 gallon of gas for the 6 to 8 hours needed.
I have made a couple orders now with e trailer great experiences. Friendly knowledgeable and patient. Awesome company and very fast delivery from order to in hand.

Best upgrade I have made to my trailer. Can run the a/c on a 15 amp outlet or a 2200 watt generator
I installed this device yesterday on my Dometic 13,500 BTU rooftop AC. I did download a wiring diagram from the Mfg's web site that matched my 2010 unit. All wire colors were correctly identified. One issue I had is that the connection on top of the Compressor requires a flag type disconnect instead of an inline disconnect. I had to order some flag connectors to do this. I tested it today on my Wen Generator 1900 running watts 2300 starting watts and it started and ran fine. Prior to this installation the AC would not start on generator, it pulled too many amps and shut down. I cannot say how much the new starting amps are as my power monitor is not communicating. But very happy with the results.
Wanted to use my 2500w generator! Very skeptical if this was a viable solution. Product website has excellent install for my brand ac and looks to cover majority of ac systems out there. Direction are extremely simple. Took me a bit to figure out each step as they may of been to simple for each step? But after taking a minute to fully absorb the instruction it all went really easy. No cutting to OEM wires so easy to return to normal if needed. AC started like a champ. Even on shore power you can’t tell that the AC kicks in. Super cool. Not sure why this is not standard on RV’s. Is it cost ? Or will this damage the AC in the long run? We will see. But as for now it’s a hit! I never post feedback. But if you want to run your AC on a generator that can’t make it over the start up load this is the ticket! Love it.
Worked as advertised, reduced compressor start up amp draw significantly. Hard to measure accurately but 12-14amps on my unit. No fear if unit comes on while coffee pot, lights and tv are on while running on a Predator 3500 by Harbor Freight.
Received the item on sunday and installed tuesday afternoon, the acquit working during a hot spell and repair parts were not available. I installed the soft start and the ac unit started up and was much quieter when the compressor starts and runs. Don't have the ability to measure starting current but it seems to start the compressor much smoother.
Allows newer AC unit to run on older ge nerator
This product is a simple DIY project. I am amazed at the smooth transition on my
generator compared to it bogging down before.
Received right on time and in great shape. Installed without any problems with the instructions and print out from Etrailer's web site. Will save alot of gas by not having to use both of the EU2200 Honda's that I have been using while dry camping. Happy customer!
This is a must for those campgrounds with only 30 amp (or smaller) hook-ups. Haven't tried it yet with my small inverter generator but I feel confident that it will work just fine.
The only complaint is you didn't ship the installation kit.
