Ordered 3 of these, keyed alike. They were, in fact, keyed alike. One of the three packages was missing the plastic screw hole cover for the exposed mounting screw. If not for that, I would have rated 5 stars.1478037

This lock is way too easy to defeat.

We bought this swivel bar lock for our scout trailer hoping that we wouldn't have to worry about losing a padlock. We even ordered it keyed alike to the latch assembly on the door.

However, thieves were able to force the lock open enough to leverage the bar lock handle out of the lock and gained entry into the trailer. From the scratches on the lock, it looked like a simply pry bar was all it took to defeat the lock. You can see in the picture where the lock cracked just under the screw. The body metal is not that strong.

We are now going to try a traditional hasp with protected padlock, but the Scouts are out the money for this bar lock, and we lose the time to retrofit the door.1290440

These worked great to replace locks with lost keys. Theyd be much nicer if they came with the screw covers. Thats my only complaint. Other than that these are a great buy at a great price. Thank you www.etrailer.com for great products and great prices.

So far so good! Very secure and they seem to be holding up to the elements after one year! Biggest problem, as with all locks, is ice in the key hole in the winter making it very difficult to operate. Besides that they are perfect 733822
