How to Properly Measure for Cut-Out Dimension
There are two main dimensions you need to know when choosing a replacement speaker or adding a new speaker or speakers to your audio setup:
The cut-out diameter is the width of the circle needed to ensure the speaker mounts flush to the wall or ceiling.
The mounting depth is the depth needed behind the mounting surface for the speaker's frame and magnet structure to fit.

Today we're going to take a look at the Jensen 24 Watts Recessed Mount Heavy-Duty Outdoor Speakers for a quantity of two speakers.Now, these outdoor speakers will project sound from your TV or radio in your RV or camper. These are a dual-cone design, which features a Mylar whizzer cone and a polypropylene woofer cone. The whizzer cone produces the high frequencies more effectively, and the woofer cone produces the bass sounds and the internal dampening.They are a nice, durable, coated metal construction. Makes it very durable and UV resistant, designed to hold up in any outdoor applications.
It is a simple screw-in application. You can see the four mounting holes right here. Now the mounting hardware is not included. These are a black color. It is for a quantity of two speakers.Now I do want to give you a few dimensions on this.
We're going to zoom in just so you can see. So the overall dimension diameter-wise is right at five and three quarter inches. Total depth front to back is about one and a half inches deep. Now the cutout dimensions, the diameter for the cutout is right about three and three quarter inches in diameter and about one and a quarter inches deep. Woofer diameter is five inches.
Maximum wattage is 24 watts per speaker. The impedance is 4 ohms and the frequency response is 120 hertz to 15 kilohertz.But that should do it for the review on the Jensen 24 Watts Recessed Mount Heavy-Duty Outdoor Speakers, for a quantity of two.

This heavy-duty, weatherproof design is the perfect upgrade or replacement for your RV, offering better sound over full-range speakers.Have a 1994 fleetwood mallard travel trailer with two speakers that were original and blown, bought these for less then 30$ they are rv speakers so they don’t pull a lot of power, and they sound really really good for the price and it’s perfect for camping, if ur not expecting something super flashy this is for u it’s not overpriced and it’s definitely worth the money, sounds clear and there’s more bass than I expected, better than expected, will buy more of these when I’m ready, especially helps that these are the only 5 3/4 speakers I can find for RVs!
Advertised as a JENSEN speaker. But you will get an ASA speaker. Their claim is it’s the same company. I get that. They own each other. But they (ASA-JENSEN) also still manufacture JENSEN branded speakers and ASA branded speakers. So why don’t they advertise as an "ASA Heavy Duty Outdoor Speakers - Recessed Mount - 5-3/4" Diameter - 24 Watts - Qty 2" then?
Volkswagen and Porsche. If advertised a Porsche and you buy the Porsche and you get a Volkswagen, ANYONE would be upset.
Staff is horrible and will not work with you for a simple return. Carol C. passed me to Paula T. Paula sent one message basically telling me to keep them and this is why. The process was similar to that phrase about pulling teeth. I WAS going to buy other speakers from them.
Not only this, but they gave me an order confirmation of arrival for next week. I was fine with that, until I checked status. The status said next month. I got on chat and Victoria H. told me "please be more patient".
My ordering is done here and I will be letting all my RV Community know about this.
If you feel like ordering, know that it will not be easy to make a return.
I purchased a plastic version of these outdoor speakers (I believe a different brand) a year ago. The speaker fidelity was/is fine, but the housings cracked and pretty much disintegrated for reasons I can't explain. (The ones I replaced were six years old but still intact; just sounded bad.) These metal units are lower profile and sound great, so I'm quite satisfied.
