There are two main dimensions you need to know when choosing a replacement speaker or adding a new speaker or speakers to your audio setup:
Cut-Out Diameter
The cut-out diameter is the width of the circle needed to ensure the speaker mounts flush to the wall or ceiling.
Mounting Depth
The mounting depth is the depth needed behind the mounting surface for the speaker's frame and magnet structure to fit.

Bought as replacements for our outside speakers. They fit in the hole where we removed the old speakers perfectly. They work great. Happy with purchase.

It turns out these were the exact same outdoor speakers that I had in my RV. I replaced them with the new ones in my 2015 Fifth wheel. I hope they will repeat their 9 year service!

The speakers were the exact replacement for my RV and the sound performance is still good. The RV sits outside all year long and the housings are holding up very well in the Florida weather.

these were to replace the original Jensen speakers that came on my RV. The originals were bad from day one. Not any fault of Jensen, Northwood just did a poor job of installing. I've only listened to them for a few minutes after install, but I think they are going to work out just fine. Only issue I had was, the connectors on the speakers are two different sizes, so I had to file one down.

You are correct in that these speakers do not come with a gasket or grommet. We recommend using a sealant like part # 344270341437-1 to prevent water leaking into the wall. You also want to make sure to measure the cutout hole to ensure it is correct. These speakers need a 4.375 inch diameter X 1.50 inch deep cutout hole to mount and are 6 inches over all in diameter.

Replaced the factory speakers that were the same model. 4 screws and 2 wires each. If you are replacing them on an RV, you will want a tube of silicone as well.

So, the excellent rating is for the online order and delivery experience. As far as the speakers go, they're Jensens. Not the highest quality speakers, and I think everyone is aware of that. Hence the extremely reasonable price. But, they ARE the outside speakers that came with my trailer, so when the wind blew the cones out of the originals, I had to replace them with the same thing so they'd fit in the same holes. Now to devise a speaker cover for them so it doesn't happen again. I didn't see where anything like that was available as an accessory.
