Crank up the sound when out on the water, firing up the grill, or watching an outdoor movie with the family. This waterproof, coaxial design is the perfect upgrade or replacement for your boat or RV, offering better sound over dual-cone speakers.

What is a Coaxial Speaker?
A coaxial speaker consists of a large main speaker (woofer) that reproduces bass sounds, and a separate small speaker (tweeter) that mounts above the woofer and reproduces high frequency sounds. Unlike dual-cone speakers that only use one driver to push sound through two attached cones (woofer and tweeter), a coaxial speaker has separate drivers for the woofer and tweeter along with a built-in crossover to control the frequencies sent to each speaker. This reduces distortion and allows for crisper, more articulate sound over dual-cone speakers.
How to Properly Measure for Cut-Out Dimension
There are two main dimensions you need to know when choosing a replacement speaker or adding a new speaker or speakers to your audio setup:
The cut-out diameter is the width of the circle needed to ensure the speaker mounts flush to the wall or ceiling.
The mounting depth is the depth needed behind the mounting surface for the speaker's frame and magnet structure to fit.

Today we're gonna be taking a look at Jensen's line of marine speakers. These speakers come in a variety of sizes. You can get a five-inch speaker, which has an actual diameter of six inches when you count the grill. And you can get a six-and-a-half-inch speaker, which has a seven-inch actual diameter with the grill. They can come in multiple colors depending on the wattage that you choose. They may be black, white, or silver. And you can get wattages from 30 watts, 60 watts, 65 watts, and 75 watts.
Your grill pattern can also vary slightly depending on the wattage and size of your speaker. These are marine-grade speakers, so they're gonna be protected from the elements. So you can mount these both inside and outside. So whether you're using them for your interior entertainment center in your RV, an exterior entertainment system, or just for an audio system in your boat, they're gonna do that job.No matter what size or wattage you get, it's gonna be a dual-cone speaker, having a center tweeter made of mylar, and a larger woofer cone made of polypropylene. No matter which size or color you choose, they're gonna come in a quantity of two, so you'll have one for your left and right channel. We've mounted a pair of the five-inch cone, 30 watt speakers, on the interior of our RV here. They're hidden behind the factory grills that are located here, replacing some blown speakers.
We've got one located on each side. We ran the wiring from the speaker down to our audio unit here. We went ahead and used the existing wiring that was already in place, so we didn't have to do too many changes. But if necessary, you can run completely new wires. Now you can enjoy your new sound system inside your vehicle. If you're adding new speakers, and you're running your own wire, you'll have a positive and negative on your speaker.
You'll just route those wires to your audio unit, and connect it to the positive and negative for its particular channel. So we have ours installed on the positive and negative for the front right as well as for the front left. There's four mounting holes included on each speaker. There is no mounting hardware included, so you have to source your own. The type of hardware you're gonna use is dependent upon the surface on which you're gonna be mounting it. If you're gonna be doing a flush-mount style where it's on the outside of your RV, you will need to make sure that you cut out a hole large enough to fit both the magnet and all of the electronic wiring here.
That's gonna vary depending on the size speaker that you purchase as well as the wattage because larger wattages may have a slightly larger magnetic cone here on the back. You just run your hardware through those. You may need to drill holes for those if you're gonna use nuts and bolts. If you're gonna be placing it like we did in our RV here, we we're able to just butt it up, and run screws through the back right into the wood to mount it behind the paneling. And that completes our look at Jensen's line of marine speakers.

Speakers work great. Very happy with th em
It's been a year. These speakers I bought for a 2005 Wildwood. When I decided to replace the outdoor speakers before a family outing, I thought it would be a simple thing. Go to a store, get some weatherproof speakers, put them in. Not so much. I could't find any to fit the holes exactly. I didn't want to enlarge the holes. My local RV dealer was helpful and offered to order the original equipment But they were really expensive. Even the local stereo shops were not helpful.
Unlike most websites, etrailer listed the dimensions between the screw holes and I was able to choose these speakers.
They look good and perform well with good quality sound considering the mounting conditions. Much better than the original factory equipment.
Great product delivered fast and as adv ertised.
Great customer service.. Excellent quality speakers..
Great transaction, super fast shipping.
Delivered in a timely matter and they work and fit perfectly
Fit was great as I was replacing old speakers. Screw holes lined up exactly. Only problem is they were not two way speakers, but couldn’t find any that met all the criteria.

Great speakers, such an upgrade from the Wildwood OEM! Now I hear mid-range and bass that is appropriate. They were well packed, so even though the box came a little damaged, speakers were perfect.
