How to Properly Measure for Cut-Out Dimension
There are two main dimensions you need to know when choosing a replacement speaker or adding a new speaker or speakers to your audio setup:
The cut-out diameter is the width of the circle needed to ensure the speaker mounts flush to the wall or ceiling.
The mounting depth is the depth needed behind the mounting surface for the speaker's frame and magnet structure to fit.

Today we're going to take a look at the Jensen 6-inch diameter 24 watt recessed mount indoor RV speaker. Now this indoor speaker will project sound from your TV and radio inside your RV or camper. This is a full range design so it reproduces the high frequencies and the bass sounds effectively. It's all in a nice durable metal frame and this is a simple recessed mount bolt on installation. Now the mounting hardware to install this is not included and you can see the speaker is black color.A few specs on this, the woofer diameter is going to be 5 1/4" in diameter. Maximum wattage is 24 watts.
The impedance is 4-ohms. Frequency response is 127 hertz to 10 kilohertz, and the magnet weight on this is about 3 ounces. This is for a quantity of one speaker. Now I do want to give you some dimensions on this. The overall dimensions from edge to edge, so diameter on this is going to be 6 1/8".
Total depth on this is going to be right at 2 1/8" deep.Now the cutout dimensions, in other words this section that'll go into the cutout, the diameter on that cutout is going to be 5" and the depth from here to here for the cutout is 1 7/8" deep and the last measurement is the mounting holes. You can see there's six different mounting holes and the distance between them center to center is going to be right at 2 7/8".That should do it for the review on the Jensen 6" diameter 24 watt recessed mount indoor RV speaker.
