What is a Coaxial Speaker?
A coaxial speaker consists of a large main speaker (woofer) that reproduces bass sounds, and a separate small speaker (tweeter) that mounts above the woofer and reproduces high frequency sounds. Unlike dual-cone speakers that only use one driver to push sound through two attached cones (woofer and tweeter), a coaxial speaker has separate drivers for the woofer and tweeter along with a built-in crossover to control the frequencies sent to each speaker. This reduces distortion and allows for crisper, more articulate sound over dual-cone speakers.
How to Properly Measure for Cut-Out Dimension
There are two main dimensions you need to know when choosing a replacement speaker or adding a new speaker or speakers to your audio setup:
The cut-out diameter is the width of the circle needed to ensure the speaker mounts flush to the wall or ceiling.
The mounting depth is the depth needed behind the mounting surface for the speaker's frame and magnet structure to fit.

Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the Jensen 60-watt recessed mount marine speaker in white for a quantity of one. This is a nice weatherproof outdoor speaker that'll project the sound from your TV or radio on your boat, RV or camper. This one, being weatherproof, is ideal for marine applications.It is a dual cone design, features a Mylar whizzer cone and a polypropylene woofer cone. The whizzer cone produces the high frequencies more effectively, and the woofer cone produces the bass sounds and internal dampening.
This speaker is a nice, durable plastic construction. It is UV-resistant and waterproof, has a salt spray exposure standard compliant and also UV exposure standard compliant.It is a simple bolt-on installation. You can see the four mounting holes here. The mounting hardware's not included. It is in a white color.
It is for a quantity of one speaker. Do want to give you some dimensions on this. The overall dimensions, the diameter from one end to the other is right at 7-1/8ths inches. The total depth from the very front to the very back is right at about 2-7/8ths inches deep. The cutout dimensions, in other words, this is a recessed mount, so this portion here is designed to fit into the cutout.
The cutout it fits into is 5-inch diameter. The woofer diameter itself is 6-1/2 inches.Maximum wattage on this, we mentioned, is 60 watts. The impedance is 4 ohms. Sensitivity is 86 decibels, and the frequency response is 50 Hertz to 20 Kilohertz and the magnet weight on this is 10 ounces. Although I have no idea who George J, Brant B or Nicolas R are I feel like we have been through a lot together and have really bonded. Seriously though, great speakers at a decent price. Shipped out quickly and tracking that I haven’t experienced before. Thanks guys! Will definitely be back when the need arises

Buyer beware! I purchased Jensen speakers but received ASA brand instead. Very disappointed. This is not what I ordered and my invoice shows Jensen also. Bad business to send replacement of poor quality without even notifying customer!
Good replacement speaker, the plastic grill on the old speakers sun rotted and fell off. The replacements have same plastic grill so I am anticipating the same fate. All marine and exterior type speakers should have a metal grill
