Arrived as described. Disappointed to discover that etrailer.com does not carry mounting brackets for their regulators, but I welcomed the opportunity to dust off my diy skills. Note the bailing wire. Super pro! Also, if anyone knows what happens when one uses a vertical regulator horizontally, I'm all ears.

Thank you for the review! It looks like the vent placement is one the main differences in the two kinds of regulators. They are placed in such a way that debris from the road will is less likely to clog them. When using the vertical regulator horizontally, the openings are more likely to get clogged which can be a safety issue.

The problem I was having was orange flame on the stove. Looking on line it said that was caused by a defective propane regulator. We were using a humidifier, with the humidifier turn on we got orange flames with the humidifier turned off blue flames.

by:

Love that it works in freezing temperatures! Perfect for our off grid living!

by:

Exact replacement to what the camper came with. It works great with no issues

by:

The package arrived on time and undamaged. Nothing more to say great service.

by:

The mounting holes (4) in the back were not threaded, so we could not use them. We have tried this type of regulator from Camo and Mr Heater. They use the same type of mounting holes / plate and are cheaper, but they stop working after about 3 yrs. We have tried the Auto switching regulators, for two 100lb tanks, they don't work at low temperatures (<0F).

by:

400k btu’s an hour. Hard to beat that

by:

MB Sturgis is a quality OEM part on many rvs and the price is right.

by:

Good company to buy from. (first time, but not the last) I think the gas regulator the camper came with never worked right sense it was bought new. First time it has worked right. The original one was mounted wrong from the factory. Parts got here quick, good packaging to keep from getting damaged in transit.

by:

I don't know much about propane but this regulator was just what I needed and it works perfectly fine. I was glad I could find one at etrailer.com

by:

It's exactly what I needed for the perfect fit. One year later, very happy with the product and would definitely buy again if needed.

by:

Working as designed. No issues with the installation. Be careful plastic black cap on the 2nd stage may be loose as was mine. a challenge to retrieve it where it fell, of course as is always the case. All is well

by:

The propane regulator I ordered seems to be made of quality as does the flex hose. Will order again when I need. Thanks ..,....

..Merry Christmas to all.

by:

I ordered two items from Etrailer.com and received my order within days...fast delivery and savings make this my primary RC parts retailer.

by:

Best regulator of all .Will continue to work in very cold weather.

by:

I’ve had to replace my regulator twice. So far this one is working great.

by:

Mounting holes not tapped. No thread cutting screws. No mounting template.

by:

Good overall. Time will tell with dependability. As usual these days, not the exact same quality of what it is replacing.

by:

Works as described and gets the gas to my appliance.

by:

Product was shipped quickly and worked well.

by:

Reasonable price, fast shipping.Has laster longer than original.

  • What Regulator Would Be Needed For An Ashley Hearth 11,000BTU Wall Heater
It took a bit to find any useable information but I did find one chart that lists two different 11,000 BTU models, the AGDV12N (10.5" WC Max / 6.4" WC Min) and the AGDV12L (14" WC Max / 11" WC Min). The majority of the regulators that we carry, including the MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 108220 you were looking at regulate pressure to 11" WC. If you had the AGDV12L then you'd be fine using the # 108220 or # 108221 depending on which way you have to run the line. The vent...

An E1 error code on your Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU # FR93FR means that it tried to ignite twice but didn't have the correct amount of gas pressure. First check to make sure your gas valves are fully open. If they are and you're still having issues it could indicate an issue with your regulator. You'll need to have a licensed technician check the pressure on the line and possibly replace your regulator to ensure you're getting 11" WC at the water...

  • Troubleshooting An E1 Error Code On A Fogatti Tankless Water Heater
An E1 error code on a Fogatti Tankless Water Heater is an ignition failure, which means the unit isn't getting enough gas to properly operate. You'll need a qualified technician to check the pressure and possibly replace or clean out your propane regulator in order to get your pressure back up to 11" W.C. so that it can operate properly. If you need a new regulator we have a few options depending on your setup. For a horizontal regulator you'll need part # 108221, and for a vertical regulator...

  • Troubleshooting Propane Leaking Out of Disconnected Hose on the Other Side of a Propane Regulator
From what you are describing it sounds like you have a change over regulator that has gone bad. There shouldn't be a way for the propane to go through the regulator and out of the disconnected hose unless the regulator has a fault. I would recommend replacing your regulator with one like the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS.

It sounds like what you need is a pigtail to go from the tank to a regulator, then from the regulator you'll need a supply hose that's long enough to reach and connect to the to inlet valve (manifold) on your food truck and that has the correct fitting. Below are the parts I recommend: 1. MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Stainless Overbraid - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 1' # 100833-12 2. For that large of a pull you would need to use a regulator like the # 108220 or # 108221 depending on your setup. Both of these regulators have a 400,000btu/hr rating to handle your 340,000btu demand. The main thing to remember when installing the regulator is to make sure that the vents on facing down so you could need the vertical # 108220 or the horizontal # 108221 to achieve this.

  • Regulator For a 100 lb Propane Tank to a Ventless Heater

The maximum propane flow capacity of this regulator is 400,000 BTU per hour so it can handle the 18,000 BTU of your Empire wall mount ventless heater. The two stage regulator is also the best option for the heater that is most likely running for extended amounts of time. Most likely there is a POL fitting on the tank, you can use 100019-48 pigtail to the regulator. The hose does not have a back check so you need adapter fitting part...

Both the 20lb and 40lb tank should have the same outlet pressure running to the regulator so that leads me to believe that either the 40lb tank is bad and pushing a lot of water into the line or that your regulator is on a flexible hose and when you hook up to the tank the vent on the regulator is no longer facing down allowing the water in the line to escape.
