The regulator you need is MB Sturgis part # 108220. The maximum propane flow capacity of this regulator is 400,000 BTU per hour so it can handle the 18,000 BTU of your Empire wall mount ventless heater. The two stage regulator is also the best option for the heater that is most likely running for extended amounts of time.

Most likely there is a POL fitting on the tank, you can use 100019-48 pigtail to the regulator. The hose does not have a back check so you need adapter fitting part # 204120-MBS to be compliant and avoid leaks.

If you have a ACME fitting on the tank, you can use a MB Sturgis pigtail part # 100833-24 to connect the 100 lb tank to the regulator. The pigtail is designed with an internal back-check to prevent any gas leaks. It is also constructed of heavy duty braided stainless steel. You need adapter part # 402258-MBS to connect the pigtail to the regulator.
