Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael, with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the MB Sturgis propane adapter fitting. This is going to let you connect your propane cylinder to your regulator within an inverted flare pigtail. You can see the female inverted flare connects to an inverted flare pigtail. The male fourth inch NPT then screws into the inlet of your regulator.
This is a sturdy brass construction, it has been leak tested, and it's going to meet or exceed all applicable safety standard requirements. Our total overall winks is right about seven-eighths of an inch long. Total width is right about five-eights of an inch. This is made here in the USA. Needed to replace a leaking pigtail hose. Bought two of these hoses and 1/4" female inverted flare x 1.4" MPT fittings (402258-MBS). Added fittings to regulator with yellow Teflon gas tape on threads. Replaced both hoses and leak checked. No leaks! Great quality fittings and hoses from MB Sturgis. Fast service and delivery from etrailer.com.

Used to attach the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose (POL Pigtail x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 3') to my 3/8 pipe thread shut-off valve. High quality as always from etrailer.
This did what it was supposed to. I went to Camping World to buy a replacement pigtail (they wouldn't cover it under warranty unless I took the trailer to them), but the one they had was the wrong connector. After being treated very rudely, I left without the adapter, so I bought it here. I'll probably be back.
Worked perfectly
The hoses I bought to work in between the tanks and regulator on my 30' Airstream had a 1/4"male compression thread. The regulator has a 3/8" FM thread. This (these, always replace both, best practices) fitting with pipe dope (teflon tape has a greater tendency to leak) worked perfectly.
Great price, great shipping & great people to deal with. Now retired, I was in the USCG, a union pipefitter & a Mechanical Contractor.
Product works as intended. Just make sure if your buying propane pig tails that you check to see if you need these as well or if your pig tail will work without them. I made the mistake and order the pig tails and had to order these later.

This part was exactly what I needed and worked great. The only issue I have is that the part was not linked to the original part I ordered. I had to contact customer service to get that information. They were very helpful. I will shop here first again.
After one year of use (both summer and winter) it preforms as it did on day one. No leaks, no deformed hoses. Good product.
