Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products Propane Tank Connector Fitting.This is going to allow you to hook up to your LP gas cylinder. This is a POL fitting here, it's pretty standard for most of your LP gas cylinders. Uses the interior thread so you will have to tighten it counter-clockwise and loosen it clockwise, which is a little bit counterintuitive to those of us who know the righty-tighty, lefty-loosey method, but it shouldn't take too much concentration to get that screwed in.You will need some tools to get that tightened down, because it doesn't have a turn wheel or anything like that, but you will notice it's got the O-ring here on the tip to make sure that we're getting a nice tight seal. We don't have to worry about any leaks at this end. And then it's going to adapt to a male quarter inch NPT fitting.
So this you can hook up to a regulator or another LP hose to run it wherever you need it to be.There are a few things that I would recommend paying attention to. The first is that the threads on your POL fitting do come off, so you want to make sure that you keep track of both pieces there. And then the second thing is, if you look inside there, there is no regulator or check valve inside. So you do want to make sure that you are hooking up your NPT side first, that you have that connection made all the way through, so that when you hook up your POL fitting you're not just letting the LP gas flow through there. The easy way to get a gas leak going so pay attention to that, make sure that you're using it appropriately.
This is designed for LP gas only so don't use any other kind of gases or water or anything like that with this part.That is going to complete our look at the JR Products Propane Tank Conductor Fitting..

Exactly what I needed to connect to my 120-gallon vertical propane tank with left hand threads. Has Oring on tank side. Also came with joint compound pre-applied to 1/4" male pipe threads. Ready to install!
