Video Transcript for Review of JR Products Propane - Regulators - 37207-30325

Today we're going to take a look at the JR Products' high pressure RV LP gas regulator. This is a high pressure regulator; it's designed for high demand propane equipment. It's primarily used for dual bottle PSIG setups with distance separation applications. The PSIG stands for pounds per squaring gauge. If you notice, this does have a one quarter inch FPT inlet connection, and on the other end is a one quarter inch FPT outlet connection. This does have a 500,000 BTU per hour capacity R30 PSIG, based on a hundred PSIG inlet.

That should do it for the review on the JR Products' high pressure RV LP gas regulator.

We were traveling and one of the High-Pressure regulators on my RV went bad - it was leaking noisily (sounds like a high-pressure hiss). My 5th wheel has two 30 lb tanks, one in a compartment on the driver's side and the other on the passenger side. Respect the dangers of propane but it was easy to replace. I have ordered many RV and trailer parts from etrailer in the past and was never disappointed. etrailer had the parts and delivery was fast - they are great. Be sure you get the right pressure regulator (mine was 30 psig and required 1/4" inlet and 1/4" outlet. The hose or outlet might look big, but these are 1/4" ID. I also needed the hose from the regulator to the propane tank. Be sure to get the right hose as they come in a variety of lengths and different pressure ratings (identified with a Black, Light Green or Dark Green knob) that connects to the propane tank. Apply 3 or 4 turns of yellow Teflon tape to the threaded end of the hose before inserting into the pressure regulator. Don't use white Teflon tape, which is for plumbing; yellow tape (etrailer 37207-30025) is thicker and is for propane. Install the pressure regulator correctly. The little ring on the outside edge of the pressure regulator must be installed pointing toward the ground. The installation took about 20 - 30 minutes. Don't forget to test for propane leaks. Respect the dangers of propane.

Purchased as a like for like replacement. Holding in reserve but the original one installed is whistling more and more. Likely will do a switch soon.

Have a new trailer from Heartland and noticed that the regulator was going bad before my one year bumper to bumper warranty about to expire. Inasmuch as the dealership couldn't fit me in for 4 weeks , I felt I would do it myself and save a headache. It went in perfectly and works right.

by:

Part arrived timely, I installed it, and haven't had any problems since.

by:

I purchased to repair a friend's rv. Talked a month ago and it is still working for him.

This part was identified as faulty on my trailer. I went to a local parts shop and though they carry the part, they did not have one. I checked back with them a couple of weeks later and they still didn't have one. I found that etrailer.com had them in stock and I had it in three days. Will install it tomorrow. THANK YOU.

by:

Works is intended.

Great

I placed my order and requested standard shipping. I was contacted the same day by George J from etrailer who was able to upgrade my delivery at no extra charge. This special treatment was unexpected and very appreciated. The products arrived well packaged and exactly what I asked for!

by:

Perfect replacement for the leaky one that was previously on my old trailer, which prevented me from using on of the two propane tanks.

by:

  • Is A Second Regulator Needed For A 5th Wheel Trailer If You Use An Automatic Changeover Regulator
The second regulator is still needed on the other side of your 5th wheel, even with the JR Products Compact Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 37207-31525, because of the length of the line running from it to the nearest appliance. Most manufacturers will typically install a 30 psi regulator like part # 37207-30325 for this purpose.

  • Parts Needed to Connect 20lb Propane Tank to RV Appliance
For your Propane lines, you will need to start with the pigtail, then regulator, then main line, tee, and alternate lines. I recommend the following: Pigtail # 100473-12 Regulator # 37207-30325 Tee # 37207-30055 Because I don't know the connections on your appliances, I don't know the supply lines you need from the 1/4 inch Male Inverted Flare connections to your appliances.

  • How Much PSI Does the Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover Regulator Provide
The Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator part # 37207-31525 is a low pressure regulator which provides the standard 11 inches water column or roughly .4 pounds per square inch. If you are looking for more than this you would need to go with a high pressure regulator, the High Pressure RV LP Gas Regulator part # 37207-30325 which puts out up to 30 pounds per square inch.

  • Replacement Regulator for JR Products High Pressure RV LP Gas Regulator 37207-30325
I have heard of this issue before with the High Pressure RV LP Gas Regulator part # 37207-30325. You do want to make sure the regulator is in the vertical position otherwise it's a possibility it could leak. If it is in the vertical position and still leaking, I recommend to replace it with MB Sturgis Single Stage Propane Regulator part # 108072 which is also a 30 PSI regulator with 1/4" female NPT outlet and inlet.

  • Regulators Needed For A 20' Run From Two 100lb Propane Tanks
Since you're trying to do a decently large run you'd need to get two single stage regulators like JR Products High Pressure RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30325 and connect them inline close to the tanks and then run them out to the Dual Stage JR Products Regulator # 37207-30395. These single stage regulators will lower the pressure to 30psi and then the dual stage regulator will lower the pressure further down to 11" WC so that you can safely run your generator.

  • Does Louder Than Normal Propane Regulator Noise Mean the Regulator Is Going Bad?
While it might be a sign that it's going bad, it's also worth noting that as the weather gets colder it's going to make a bit more noise- so it's not unusual at all for this to occur and the noise isn't always a sign of malfunction. The one thing you might want to consider before changing out the regulator is making sure that the sound isn't actually coming from the check valves on the pigtails. I've seen a lot of instances of this being the source of the extra noise and swapping out the...

  • Is the Humming From My GR-630 Regulator Bad and What Parts to Replace It
The noise you're hearing is likely coming from your GR-630 regulator, and it's not a sign of anything actually being amiss; the humming noise is caused by the rubber diaphragm inside the regulator fluctuating normally to keep up with the steady demand of regulating the flow of propane to the appliances. For the vertical vs horizontal regulator situation, it doesn't really refer to the mounting orientation, but where the vent on the regulator is positioned. If the vent is perpendicular to...

  • Mounting Bracket For Securing Propane Reguator On Trailer With Tanks On Either Side Of Camper
It sounds like you are referring to the High Pressure RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30325 which is located on the one side of your trailer. This is done to prevent liquid propane from getting into the black steel pipe as the other Regulator # 37207-30395 will be on the other side of your trailer which lowers it to the correct pressure needed for your appliances. The Regulator Bracket # 37207-30355 will allow you to secure the regulator to the trailer.

  • Recommended Replacement for GR-618 High Pressure Regulator
Thank you for the photo. Your JR Products model GR-618 is a single stage, 18 psi, high-pressure regulator that is no longer available. It has been replaced by the JR Products High Pressure RV LP Gas Regulator (model GR-630) # 37207-30325, which is a suitable replacement. I highly suggest also picking up a tube of gas pipe thread sealant # 37207-30555 to help prevent any leaks. This can be used on all metals, plastic, PVC, fiberglass, CPVC, and nylon threaded applications.

  • Is There a Replacement Regulator For a GR-616 Regulator
The High Pressure RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30325 will work to replace your current GR-616. The problem being that you can not vent a regulator facing up. The regulator vent allows the regulator to "breathe" during normal operation and functions as a pressure relief opening in an overpressure situation. It should remain free of dirt and debris for the purpose of safety. If the regulator vent becomes blocked or the airflow is restricted for any reason, the regulator may operate incorrectly...

  • How Is A 30 PSI Regulator An Acceptable Replacement For An 18 PSI Regulator
The JR Products High Pressure RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-30325 is typically used in larger RV's to help push the propane because as the distance between a propane tank and its appliance increases, the gas pressure decreases. There's typically another regulator between this one and the appliance to further regulate the water column down to 11", which is the most common pressure for RV appliances.
