What Are Keel Rollers For On a Boat Trailer and Should I Add One
Question:
My bunk trailer does not have a keel roller.I see a lot of trailers at the launch that have keel roller towards the front of the trailer ,ahead of the bunks. I was wondering about their benefits and what would be a good one to install on my 20 ft EZ-LOAD trailer. Thanks

The keel rollers on a boat trailer are deigned to absorb shock while loading and launching your boat so you don't put as much stress on other components such as the bunk boards. The correct one will be chosen based on the shape of your boat's hull and the dimensions of the trailer frame. The CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly part # CE10405G is a great universal option. The only other thing you would need is u-bolts like the CE Smith U-Bolts part # CE15283GA-2 that match your frame.
I have attached a list of all other keel rollers we offer as well.
