Question:
I would think when wiring the box to trailer that the wires would be connected same color to same color. But the picture that was suplied by Michael H. shows the trailer yellow going to the seven pin red, green to brown, brown to green. can you confirm this to be correct?

It really comes down to the 7-way and wiring you are using. You saw the Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Connector # HM20087 which uses the following wiring configuration.
White: ground wire
Red: left turn/brake light
Brown: right turn/brake light
Green: tail lights
Yellow: reverse lights
Blue: electric brakes
Black: auxiliary power
We also have the Hopkins 7-Way Auto Blade Style Connector # HM20041 that uses the more common color configuration.
White: ground wire
Yellow: left turn/brake light
Green: right turn/brake light
Brown: tail lights
Purple: reverse lights
Blue: electric brakes
Black: auxiliary power
Be sure to verify your wiring harness configuration when you install it to your Junction Box # 3430001-JBK.
