Can the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller Be Used on a 5th Wheel Trailer

I am trying to haul a fifth wheel with my 2013 ram 3500 cab and chassis without using my brake controller that is in my truck. I was looking at the autowbrake controller mounted to the trailer. Is this a possibility? The controller in my truck is in-operable and I never did like the way it worked and looking for better braking experience without going to the dealer for a new one to be flashed in my computer.

Yes, it is possible to use the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 on your 5th wheel trailer being towed by your 2013 Ram 3500.

The Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 wires to the junction box on your trailer and will work for your 5th wheel as long as it does not have more than 3 axles.

If your 5th wheel does not have a junction box, you can use the Junction Box and Installation Kit for Autowbrake Trailer-Mounted Electric Brake Controller # 3430001-JBK.
