Parts Needed For Wiring Electric Brakes On a Tow-it-All Car Dolly

Question:

I have a used Tow-it-All car dolly. I am installing all new wiring. I discovered it has electric brakes that have been bypassed from a previous owner. I am looking for a 5 pin flat 25 wiring harness with a blue lead thats longer than 5. Do you carry a harness like this or do I need something else? Thank you

Expert Reply:

Since your Tow-it-All car dolly has electric brakes you will need to have a 6-pin or 7-way blade connector for your dolly. With electric brakes you are required to have a Bright Way Push-to-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit # 3802346 connected to a charge line. This will activate the trailer brakes in the event of a breakaway. Here is a list of all parts you will need.

Bargman 7-Way, RV-Style Connector # WG54006-043
etrailer Trailer Wiring Junction Box # 3430001-JBK
Bright Way Push-to-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit # 3802346
Bonded 4 Wire # 16-4B-1(sold per foot)
10 Gauge Primary Wire # 10-1-1(sold per foot)
