Recommended 7 way Connector for 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan Using Autowbrake
Question:
Hi there, I have a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan sxt with an existing 4 pin connection but no 12v. wire connected. We pull a camper with electric brakes so I’d like to mount the autowbrake to our trailer but I need to get a 4pin to 7 pin conversion kit and I’m also going to still need to run 12v wiring to be able to charge the trailer battery. What conversion kit and which wire would you recommend to be used specifically with the part #3430001? Thank you

The Autowbrake # 3430001 is a great choice! To add a 7 way to your 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan you'll want to use the # ETBC7L, since it doesn't require the wiring of a brake wire into the vehicle like the # ETBC7. You will still need to run a wire for the 12v power, but other than than it's going to be really easy to install since it plugs into your existing 4 way. To complete installation of the Autowbrake I recommend using the Junction Box and Installation Kit for Autowbrake Trailer-Mounted Electric Brake Controller # 3430001-JBK.
I've linked an installation video of the 7 way and a review video of the installation kit for you to have a look at, as well.
