Fast shipping quality springs for my RV door

A thicker spring would make the door close a bit harder since the spring tension would increase. The diameter of the # CAM44133 is 1/2 inch.

Availability of Screen Door Closer Kit in Black Finish
The Camco RV Screen Door Closer Kit # CAM44133 only comes in the silver finish shown in the product photos, unfortunately it is not available in a black finish. I do have an option for you if your screen door is a Lippert brand screen door to have a black screen door closer. The Lippert Screen Shot Automatic Screen Door Closer is black and would be an upgrade from the traditional exposed spring-style closer kit. Screen Door Closer For Challenger Screen Door on Jayco
The Screen Shot Automatic Screen Door Closer for RVs part # LC730811 is designed to fit into the inner channel of 22" Lippert screen door. All of the doors on the Challenger website does not look like they have the inner channel. I recommend to use the Camco RV Screen Door Closer Kit part # CAM44133 which is more of an universal fit.

Will The Lippert Screen Shot Door Closer Work On A Phillips Screen Door
Per Lippert the Screen Shot # LC730811 only works with right-hand Lippert doors. While standing outside of your RV, looking at the door, the hinges should be mounted on the right. We do however offer the Camco RV Screen Door Closer Kit # CAM44133, which is a universal fit. These springs simply screw into the door frame and frame of the screen door for a simple installation. The further apart you spread the spring during the installation the more tension will be placed on the door to close it.

To install the Camco RV Screen Door Closer Kit # CAM44133 you simply put the screws through the eyelets on either end of each spring and install the screw in the desired location for your screen door. Just be sure to test out the various tensions at various locations so you get the amount of tension on your screen door that you are wanting.

Is There a Screen Shot Automatic Screen Door Closer for Left-Hand Screen Doors
It sounds like you want to install a Screen Shot Automatic Screen Door Closer like part # LC730811 which is only for right-hand screen doors. Although I do not have any sort of conversion kit from a left-hand screen door to a right-hand screen door what you can do is use the Camco RV Screen Door Closer Kit part # CAM44133 which works with both left-hand and right-hand screen doors.

What is the Length of the Springs in Camco RV Screen Door Closer Kit # CAM44133
I went out to the warehouse and measured the springs in Camco RV Screen Door Closer Kit # CAM44133. The overall length of the springs when compressed (resting) is 7-5/8 inches. Maximum extension is not measured but the further apart the ends of the springs are the harder it will be to open the door and the faster it will close.
