Was easy to install and came with everything needed to install it except sealant which was an extra cost.

Vent is sufficiently built not as heavy duty as the one I replaced, but should do the job. Only other complaint would be that the butyl tape is placed inside the roof vent cover where it heats up and adheres to every point of contact. Ironically this was a complaint I saw mentioned on other reviews I had read before making the purchase. etrailer customer service was very helpful when placing the order and getting what I needed to get the job done.

  • Recommended Wall Vent for Enclosed Trailer with Gas Water Heater
I recommend our Redline 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # WHMAV2-WAVT2. This wall vent will work on a trailer wall up to 2 inches thick and can be installed in any convenient location on your enclosed trailer where you have or can make a 3-inch diameter hole. This wall vent is designed to provide a constant flow of air, and is louvered on one side so you can adjust it when installing for the best airflow and to help prevent water from getting in. You can use a sealant for installation...

  • Is Inside Trim Included With Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent
The interior trim garnish is indeed included with the Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent, part # RV-626-062-2756. This vent also includes a gasket to help seal the vent and prevent leaks. For installing the vent we also offer either sheet metal screws, part # 31071, or wood screws, part # 30587. If you wish to use a silicone caulk to seal the vent and keep out moisture I recommend part # 0160297.

  • Replacement Lid And Operator Kit Recommendation For Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent
If the vent you have installed on your trailer has a 4-point hinge like the attached photo, part # BVD0449-A01 would be the replacement lid for your Ventline roof vent. We do not offer a metal replacement lid with a 4-point hinge. The replacement knob and operator you asked about for your fan is part # BVD0462-00. If you want to replace the vent with one that has a metal lid I recommend part # V2110SP-24. This will fit in a rough opening that measures 14-1/4 inches wide x 14-1/4 inches...

  • Is the Butterfly Vent Waterproof and Will it Stay Closed or Open
This Butterfly Vent # 371800 that you referenced is not waterproof. If the vent was on the side of the trailer it would not get direct water sprayed at it when it is raining so it should not let too much moisture through. If you left the vent in either the open or closed position it would move. The amount of friction in the vent assembly would prevent it from moving just from the vibrations of the trailer rolling down the road. With that being said, it is not difficult by any means to...

  • Where to Install Redline 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2
The Redline 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2 can be installed in any convenient location on your enclosed trailer where you have or can make a 3-inch diameter hole. These vents will work best when used in multiples, with some near the ceiling and some near the floor, to allow cooler air to enter through the lower vents and hotter air to exit through the upper vents. I recommend you use a sealant for installation, such as silicone caulk or Silicone Sealant # 0160297. You'll...

  • Installation Hardware for Trailer Vent HMAV2-AVT2
To install the 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2 you will need 9 screws, either the Zinc Sheet Metal Screw # 31071 or Wood Screw # 30587 as well as Sealant # 0160297. I've added links to video reviews of these products for you to take a look at as well.

  • Installation Recommendation for Pop-Up Roof Vent for Enclosed Trailers
The Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent with Garnish for Enclosed Trailers - Steel # 9106-2756 is a lightweight vent that many will just attach to the outside skin. Based on the fact you have a finished interior and have space between the outside skin, I recommend using the wooden support to give you the extra strength to ensure it will hold up well over time. I recommend using the TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant - 10.1-Fl-Oz Cartridge - White # 0160297 along with the Zinc Sheet Metal Screw -...

  • Recommended Manual Vents For 2001 ShadowMaster Enclosed Trailer
For your two roof vents on your 2001 ShadowMaster enclosed trailer, I recommend the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - White # V2092SP-28. I've attached a video of this installation to help you. I recommend using Sealant # 0160297. You will also want sheet metal screws like # 31071 and wood screws like # 30587. These parts are referenced in the attached installation video.

  • Installing 2-Piece Vent On Cargo Craft Enclosed Trailer
Using the Great Stuff sealer you mentioned is a great idea to insulate and fill all the voids between the wall and outer aluminum siding on your trailer when you plan on installing the Polypropylene Trailer Vent, part # HMAV2-AVT2. A word of caution when using this sealer is that it expands a great deal, and if it has nowhere to expand will cause issues by pushing the walls apart. A little goes a long way with this stuff. Please make sure you read the label before using this sealer. When...

  • Should a Sealant Be Used When Installing Alliance 2-Piece Enclosed Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2
When installing a vent like the Alliance 2-Piece Enclosed Trailer Vent, part # HMAV2-AVT2, to a trailer we do recommend to use a sealant like # 0160297 to help seal the trailer from the elements. The Loctite urethane sealant is applied as a thick liquid to parts before assembly or in seams after assembly to create a waterproof bond in a variety of applications. It can seal doors, windows, vents and other areas in enclosed trailers where water could enter. The trailer vent does not include...

  • How to Install the 7-1/2 Inch Round Butterfly Vent # 371800 on an Enclosed Trailer
To install the 7-1/2 Inch Round Butterfly Vent, # 371800, you will need to drill or cut a hole in your trailer that is 5-7/8 inches diameter to no more than 6 inches diameter. If you have access to a hole saw this size for a drill the wold be the cleanest way to cut the hole. A smaller hole could be used, but the butterfly may rub on the trailer sides if a smaller hole is used. The mounting holes on this vent are 4-9/16 inches on center and the distance between the inside of any two holes...

The 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2 that you referenced will work on a trailer wall up to 2 inches thick. There is no spacer designed to fit with the vent. You can use a sealant like part # 0160297, to help seal the trailer from the elements. The Loctite urethane sealant is applied as a thick liquid to parts before assembly or in seams after assembly to create a waterproof bond in a variety of applications. • Function Of Trailer Vents On Enclosed Trailer
The vents we offer for an enclosed trailer like part # 9139 are designed to allow air into the trailer. None of the vents we offer create a pressurized condition in the trailer and none are equipped with an air filtration system to keep dust out. Some of the features on the vents like # 9139 allow you to adjust the amount of airflow in the trailer with a butterfly valve mounted on the inside of the vent which would be operated from inside the trailer. Other trailer vents, like part #...

  • Can Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Vent # 9106-2756 Be Installed on Trailer Wall Instead of Roof
There is no reason why you could not install the # 9106-2756 on the side of the trailer. Screws needed to install the vent are not included. We have the appropriate wood (# 30587) or sheet metal (# 31071) screws available. Using a silicone sealant like part # 0160297 is recommended to prevent water intrusion.

  • Recommended Orientation/Installation for Redline 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2
The Redline 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2 should be installed so that the openings on the flat bottom portion of the external section face down. In any other orientation there will be potential for rain to enter. Installation also requires that you apply a sealer of some kind to the two parts' mounting flanges. You can use a silicone caulk or a urethane sealant like TempPro # 0160297. Please refer to the linked photo for illustration. We also offer installation hardware,...
