Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the replacement master cylinder for brake actuators. This unit is a direct replacement for the master cylinder on your Titan Aero 7500 brake actuator. It works with disc brake models only. When it comes to the construction it's made from cast steel, so it's very strong and durable. It's also designed to resist rust and corrosion. See here, back here, you'd remove that plug, that's the connection point for the brake line.
You've got the rubber boot here.Installation hardware is not included, so you will need to use your existing hardware. The holes in the unit are already threaded, and they do allow for a nice, easy installation. Again, direct replacement so just pay attention at how you removed your old one, and then this one would install the same way, just reverse those steps.That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement master cylinder for brake actuators. This replacement master cylinder fits Dexter Aero 7500 trailer brake actuators for disc brakes.Maybe I’m not use to trailer parts but every time I’ve bought an automotive master cylinder it would come with the pushrod boot, cover and gasket. While this is shown without a cover I thought it was more for clarity of display, wrong. The new master cylinder did have a boot for the pushrod it does not come with a cover nor gasket. Luckily I saved my old master cylinder and the cover was serviceable however the lack of a simply gasket was aggravating. It stopped everything dead in the tracks. I had to buy a sheet of gasket material suitable for the use and luckily I had a gasket punch set. For others it could be a real set back ordering one. So before ordering take inventory of every thing you need and verify what’s included.
Except for the reverse lock out solenoid valve and associated return line that I had on my old master cylinder (Titan Aero 7400 surge brake), this replacement master cylinder seems to be an exact match. My surge brake setup also has a manual reverse lockout lever, so no big deal not having the solenoid and return line.
Easy to order, items were exactly as listed, received fast and as promised. Work perfectly. Will definitely order from etrailer again.
