Can a Titan Aero 7500 Drum Brake Actuator be Used with Disc Trailer Brakes

Question:

Hello I purchased your part T4839000 and have installed it on my boat trailer. Question? Can I covert my brake system to disc brakes? With this coupler? I hoping it can be done.

Since brake actuator # T4839000 is a drum brake actuator you will have to replace the master cylinder with # T4714200042 which is the one for disc bake applications. Disc brakes require more psi to activate the brakes so you cannot use the drum master cylinder because it will not be strong enough. Nothing else about the actuator will have to be changed.

You can use the same brake lines as well. But if the trailer currently has steel lines going to the drum brake wheel cylinders you will need to replace those with flexible line such as # T0980100.
