Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a brief look at this replacement shock absorber spring kit for the Titan UFP break actuators. This kit is going to replace the spring in your Titan UFP break actuator. And I am including on your screen the model numbers that this is going to work with and this includes everything that you see here on the table before me. You're going to receive this shock absorber spring, the bushing, and the installation bolt.

This is made in the USA. And just some additional information for you to make sure that this is going to fit your application. I am including the length on your screen. The extended length is eight inches long. The retracted length is six and a half inches long.

And then the diameter of the body itself, we are sitting right at an inch and a half, and then the eyelet diameters, this larger one is gonna be three-fourths of an inch. And then this smaller one is gonna be half an inch. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.

Thank you for joining me..

Worked great in the tongue of my Skeeter's EZ Loadr trailer. The brakes would apply to quickly before I replaced this part. Work great now.

The product arrived in just two days. This item was an exact fit. Install was pretty straightforward. I have not had a chance tp road test the trailer yet, but I am confident this will address the clunking when pulling away after a stop.

  • Troubleshooting Replacement Shock Absorber Spring TK71-758-00
The Replacement Shock Absorber Spring Kit for Titan/UFP Brake Actuators # TK71-758-00 is supposed to move slightly, and should be able to move by your own force. To test the shock absorber, it should measure 6-1/2" long when retracted, and 8" long when extended. If you install it and it still makes a loud clunk noise, then it could either be defective, installed incorrectly, or the wrong size chock absorber for your brake actuator.

  • How to bleed the brakes on a surge brake actuator on boat trailer
When bleeding the brakes on a surge actuator, such as the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w Electric Lockout # DX56FR, you want to start by making sure there is fresh fluid in the reservoir then press a screw driver against the rod in the access hole to pump the brakes. If you don't have an access hole, wrap the safety chains around a pole or board and push the top into the coupler to force the pumping action that way. I attached a detailed write-up page that explains this process, and...

  • Replacement Shock Absorber For UFP A-75 Brake Actuator
I believe you meant UFP A-75 with a Fulton swing-away tongue, and the reason I say that is there isn't a Fulton A75 brake actuator. So if you were indeed referencing a UFP A-75 actuator, we do have the correct replacement shock absorber: - Replacement Shock Absorber Spring Kit for Titan/UFP Brake Actuators # TK71-758-00 I was able to verify with the manufacturer that the # TK71-758-00 is indeed the correct replacement for the UFP A-75.

  • Troubleshooting UFP Surge Brake Coupler Operation
The electric lockout doesn't do anything to the actuator itself, it is a solenoid that doesn't let the fluid pressurize to case the wheel cylinder or brake caliper to engage. The coupler not returning to the forward location has more to do with the Replacement Shock Absorber Spring Kit for Titan/UFP Brake Actuators # TK71-758-00. If you want to use the manual key, it won't be an issue.
