Speaker 1: Today, we're going to take a look at the Dexter Single Axle Hydraulic Line Kit for drum brakes. Now, this kit is for Dexter drum brakes single axles. The brake line itself is a double flared steel tubing with the aluminum galvan coating so it's zinc plated inside and out. The special additional post-plating treatment will greatly extend the life of your product even further.Now, this kit will include everything laid out here on the table. It includes the steel line here. It's 3/16ths diameter by 180 inches.
Also includes this steel line. It's 3/16ths diameter by 72 inches. A smaller 3/16ths by 17.5 inches. It includes this 18 inch flexible hydraulic hose, hose bracket and hose clip to hold the hose onto. It comes with a 3/16ths axle T with a mounting bracket, the three of the line retaining clips, and three of the line retaining clip screws.
It comes with a 1/8th inch MPT by 3/16ths inverted flare adaptor, and a couple of line tie straps for the axle.Now, if this kit is used on torsion axles, it does require additional line kits, either number 80910 or 80910-T, or, if you want, you can even buy the complete deluxe complete kit for torsion axles. We sell it as part number 9579-2, but that should do it for the review on the Dexter Single Axle Hydraulic Line Kit for drum brakes.

I like the "kit" packaging rather than trying to find each individual piece. The previous owner of this trailer had a much larger truck than I do and depended on that for brakes. He actually gutted/stripped the brake parts and I had to replace everything. The kit was great. I measured ahead of time and knew that the long hard line would be too short for my trailer and so was able to compensate using a coupling (or "union") and a flexible extension intended for a swing-away tongue.
I emailed back and forth with several people at etrailer and they answered all my questions with good information and in a timely manner.
The only annoyance was that the hard lines were curled and they looked bad and amateurish when I tried to straighten them out. I never really got them straight.
Was ok but should offer a longer version for longer trailers that have longer distance from actuator to axle. A bit stingy on the rapties only three.delivery fast and product good.
this is good for 18 or less footer boat. my boat was 21 footer and was shorted by 35 inches.
