Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a taillight mounting box. This mounting box holds one round, four-inch taillight. The light would mount to the box using a mounting grommet. Lights and grommets are sold separately and available at eTrailer.com. The box helps protect the light from the elements. It's made from a durable, stainless steel construction.
Stainless steel does a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. It can be bolted or welded to your trailer or truck.When it comes to the overall dimensions of the unit, starting with the overall width, edge to edge going this direction is about 6-3/16 to 6-1/4. Overall height, same thing, about 6-3/16 inches tall. Overall depth, that's the measurement that we get front to back, measures about 3 inches deep, and then this cutout has a diameter measurement of about 4-1/2 inches. The internal depth from the back plate to the inside of the front plate is about 2-7/8 inches deep.That's going to do it for today's look at the taillight mounting box..

Good quality and value. I decided to utilize these a little differently, I ended up cutting this in-half and welding one on each side of a utility trailer for rear taillighting. These made nice weld-on heavy duty trailer light boxes.
