Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a taillight mounting box. Now this mounting box holds one 6 inch oval taillight. Your light would mount directly to the box, using a mounting grommet. Lights and grommets are sold separately, and available at etrailer.com if needed. This box is designed to help protect your light from the elements, and road debris, from gravel, any type of stuff that the trailer or other vehicles might kick up to your light. But overall it just protects your light.
It provides a nice, safe area for the light to set in. It's gonna protect the wiring and so on.This offers another level of protection to your 6 inch overall taillight. It does a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. We're looking at a very strong endurable stainless steel construction. It can be bolted or welded to your truck or trailer.
Take a look at the overall measurements real quick. Starting with the overall length, going edge to edge, this direction. That gives us a measurement of about 8 and 3/8 inches. Top to bottom is about 3 and 3/4 inches. Front to back gives us a depth measurement of about 3 and 1/8 inches.
Now the cut out right here, edge to edge on this direction is about 6 and 3/4 inches, and this direction is about 2 and 1/2 inches.That's gonna do it for today's look at the taillight mounting box.

Good quality and value. I decided to utilize these a little differently, I ended up cutting this in-half and welding one on each side of a utility trailer for rear taillighting. These made nice weld-on heavy duty trailer light boxes.
