Excellent product! I bought 2 of the 4-ft e-tracks. These are heavier duty than I thought they would be. They are extremely practical for my 10' wood floored utility trailer. If you are like me, there aren't many good tie down points on wood bottomed trailers. These are an easy fix for a host of applications. They work great for having multiple points to tie down my 4-wheeler or lawnmower. I will definitely recommend! The only better would have been free shipping.

by:

This E-Track (and E-Track straps) was installed on the wall of my box trailer to secure a rolling took chest. It has performed flawlessly. Thanks again etrailer, for a great product.

No Problems, Great product

by:

Easy to use with E-track attachments. Low-profile and snag-free when hauling cargo that does not need the E-tracks as attachment points. I have used these for several interstate trips with no complaints-- still look good as new.

by:

We used the E-Track system in conjunction with the Erickson E-Chocks, Erickson Roller Idler, and the Erickson E-Track Strap with Ratchet to hold down the car in our enclosed trailer. Installation was easy and was completed in a short amount of time. This eliminates the trip hazard of straps extending to D Rings, and eliminates potential damage from tie downs connected to frame on rough roads. I would highly recommend this system to anyone needing to tie down anything with tires.

by:

Excellent strength and easy to install!

by:

Works great. Easy install. Highly recom mended

by:

The following review is the same as the one I left for the 2ft E-Track. This track is very well built and makes securing cargo in my trailer easy and convenient. Installation was a snap with an extra helping hand. Highly recommend upgrading walls in an enclosed trailer to a quality plywood .46 inches or thicker, to be able to utilize the track to its full potential. The only drawback I had with the track is that the holes are not drilled out to 5/16th's like the backing plates. I had to drill out the holes I used with my step drill bit to ensure my 5/16th's hardware worked. Highly recommend utilizing grade 5 or higher nuts and bolts for a secure, reliable installation.

Anchors are very well built and have performed extremely well. They fit on the E-Track perfectly and have not failed to hold their load safely. Highly Recommended!!

by:

Decked out my new cargo trailer with this e-track. Looks sweet! Heavy gauge construction. Easy installation. Along with the Erickson E-Track straps now I'm ready to haul just about anything safely and securely. Thanks etrailer!

Still loving it! Thanks for the follow up.

Needed for strapping down to the floors or walls. Super easy install.

by:

I LOVE e-track. It is 100X easier to tie stuff down in my trailer when I can move my tie down points to suit each unique load, compared to fixed tie down products.

I put two rows of eTrack on each side of my trailer. Not only does that give me tons of tie down options, but using their 2x4 anchors I can make a movable barrier to separate things that are too small to tie down, so they don't move around. For example helping someone move all their household crap -- put all the small stuff in the front, and keep it there with a barrier that I can position anywhere I want.

eTrailer has these tracks at a great price compared to Harbor Freight and Northern Tools. And these tracks are much heavier gauge than the tracks carried by those stores.

by:

I ordered a variety of e-track components from etrailer to install in my 20ft enclosed Haulmark trailer. With only four factory installed recessed D-rings the trailer offered very few tie down options. Etrailer extensive product catalog provided one-stop shopping and their videos were very helpful when researching configuration and installation options. All products arrived on schedule and I am very impressed with the quality.

by:

Excellent build quality, very easy to install and exceeded expectations.

by:

The E-Track system I purchased is vey well designed and easy to install. This system works great in my trailer that secures my classic cars. I definitely recommend this E-Track system as it is a great product.

by:

Etrailer supplied the equipment I needed at a great price and shipped the the northwest coast with on days from when I placed the order.
All the e-track hardware and equipment was in stock and arrived packaged very well with no shipping damage.
The e-track is heavy duty, much more than I had expected and it was easy to install.
Looking forward to upgrading my trailer even more from etrailer.

Thanks again!

Bought E-Track to attach to the walls of my 5th Wheel Toy Hauler to attach stuff. Found out that I don't have any studs to anchor to. Attached to the paneling with anticipation that they would not stay, I was wrong. Holding very well and I am totally pleased with the results.

by:

The E-Track and D-Rings are great. The shipping was super fast. The only downside was the E-Track sections were wrapped together with shipping tape, so after pulling off the tape, there was a lot of "goo" left on the surfaces. Took awhile to clean everything off.

by:

I installed these in a 6x14 box trailer with 1/4" sheet metal screws into the metal framing (side panel). They are strong and provide a lot of flexibility. I use the horizontal tube and rectangular holders for fishing poles, pipes and other similar gear. Goes well with E59143 also and the various hooks like EM59142.

I used 2 4' horizontals and 2 2' horizontals to provide good coverage on the door side of my trailer and am very pleased with the install.

by:

Yes I did receive the order and it was exactly what I needed. I installed the etrack on my trailer and hauled my bike to Florida. It worked great and I didn’t have to worry about the tie downs coming loose.

Thanks

by:

Great product. E track was straight and not damaged on delivery. One box for the long pieces 5' should have been smaller, a lot of waisted space on shipping. Easy to install, watch their video on installation which helps alot. Does take some time to install.

by:

The track is good. I have not gotten to use it much since I put it in a trailer that is used for sound engineering and the coronavirus pretty well squashed all the business. But I like it and I'm happy with the product.

by:

Bought four tires and wheels for not much more $ than tires only at local tire store. Got them 4 days after order. I would rather bolt them on myself than sit in a tire store.

by:

The product was good but the box it came in was horrible. They were loose inside a way oversized box and had busted out the end. There was about 5” of the tracks sticking out of the box that could have been damaged or fallen completely out and been lost.

by:

Tracks work good but the straps I got are terrible. They only pull up snug, you can’t ratchet them down tight. The straps work loose quite often and I have to reattach them. I would not buy them again.

by:

I received my order a few days ago. Everything was there and well packaged. I had great help and answered my questions. Now the work begins installing my E-track on my new car trailer and getting everything to work the way I want it to. Thanks etrailer for your help.
Sincerely,
Steve S.

by:

I ordered several pieces of e-track. Price was very good, shipping was free, and they arrived on schedule. The e-track itself is what I expected, so good experience all the way around.

  • E-Track ATV Wheel Chock for Securing ATVs in Trailer
We don't have any E-track ratchet straps that are as short as you are wanting but I have a different solution that I think you would like with the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit w/ Ratchet Straps and Wheel Chocks # EM98CV. You'd mount these on your trailer floor in the same direction as your two ATVs so that you can secure them by just the tires.

  • Mounting Erickson E-Tracks to 3/8 Inch Plywood or Vinyl Covered Walls
To mount Erickson E-Tracks like the 4 Foot Long # EM19147 that you are looking at you will want to use 1/4 inch diameter screws/bolts. The length is entirely dependent on the application but for 3/8 inch plywood I really recommend first securing the plywood to the trailer frame in as many points a possible (if not already done so). You can also remove plywood from the areas you plan on installing the E-Track and reinforce the back of the plywood with a mounting plate like # e96RR. You...

Once installed, these tracks will provide multiple slots for securing your RZRs with the Erickson Adjustable Wheel Nets # 77314. The mounting holes on the E-Track such as # E19147 are 1/4 inch in diameter. The type and length fastener you should use will depend on the surface material and thickness you are attaching it to. For example, if the surface was ACQ treated wood you could use # TFX250ACQ which is 2-1/2 inches long.

With this track you can then use the wheel chocks # EM09162-2 or the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit w/ Ratchet Straps and Wheel Chocks - 1,500 lbs # EM09160. I've attached the link to all the E-track tie-down options as they are extensive.

The weight capacity for the Erickson Horizontal E-Track # EM19147 you referenced is 6,000 lb for the entire track. It is not rated per slot. 6,000 lbs is the max load/break strength which is basically where it would fail at and the safe working load limit is 2,000 lbs.

  • Is Strength of E-Tracks Based on Direction They Support Weight
The E-tracks were designed to give quite a bit of flexibility in how they can support weight. But in general forward to back would be a bit stronger just based on how the mounting holes line up and the leverage they would have over the cargo. If the angles aren't severe there wouldn't be a noticeable difference. On a two inch wood floor wood screws would be just fine. I would go with at least every other hole used on the tracks for max strength.

I'd recommend through bolting the e-track into the available cross members under the trailer floor. You'll want to fasten the e-track to the floor in between those points, but the fasteners you'd use and how many of them will depend on the structure of the floor. If you're talking a wood plank floor, you have plenty of floor structure for the fasteners to bite into, so attaching the track every foot or so would be fine. If the floor is thinner metal, you'll want to use self tapping screws...

Measure the length of your vehicle from bumper to bumper and try to match that length with the amount of etrack you install. The part # E19148 is 5 feet and part # EM19147 is 4 feet.

If you are planning on using an E-track wheel strap like the part # EM58523 (which would be your best and easiest option for securing the vehicle), you would want to space the E-track sections the exact same width as the tires on your vehicle.
