Today, we're taking a look at the Snap-Loc Tie-Down Anchor Kit. Now this kit let you anchor straps or ropes to wherever you need a tie-down point. This would be great for anchoring tie-down straps, where you need them on trucks, trailers, different types of racks, walls, ceilings, and floors. It includes two black E-Track anchors. Two rings that fit into the anchors and then you get a hardware kit. In this hardware kit you'll get four self tapping screws, four Allen screws, four flat washers and four lock nuts for your installation.
Now the anchors, which are just the black portion right here, these are made from thick 10 gauge steel with a durable black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. I'll give you the measurements on these real quick. Overall length measurement. That's measuring edge to edge 5 3/4 inches width measurement 1 inch, the overall height measurement.That's how much it sticks up from the installation surface or how far it sticks out from the installation surface. That's 1/2 inch.
The holes this are 5/16 inch bolt holes. So 5/16 * 5/16. And then the holes are separated on center by 5 inches. Now it also comes with the rings. These can be removed from the base and you can use the E-Track anchors with other E-Track accessories.
Now these rings are designed to connect straps, rope or cable to the anchors and they have a usable space, inner diameter of an inch and a half. They easily engaged. So you lift up the lever, release it and it secures inside that track. The kit features a maximum load or break strength rating of 3000 pounds and a safe working load limit of 1000 pounds. Product's also made in the USA.

Includes 2 E track tie-down anchors, 2 rings, and hardware. 3,000-lb Max load.The folks at etrailer.com really want me to provide a review (I got a notification from them that my package was delivered before I knew it was sitting on the porch, and they were already asking for the review!), so here it is. Note I haven't been in possession of this for a full 24 hours yet.
There are two notable things. One, I didn't really need the hardware, that is, the screws, although the big flat fender washers will come in handy, and maybe the nylon-ringed nuts will too. The screws are all too short for my application. Second, the pictures show that the connection is a big, thick ring. However, what I got was a big thick triangle. It's pretty beefy and thinking about it more, it might be better if you are weaving a strap through it. I'll be putting a vinyl hook on it, so the ring might have been better.
Once I get it installed (not soon, it's raining like crazy now, wooden trailer deck is all wet, plus holidays), if I remember I'll update this review and maybe include pics.
Excellent customer service experience, I order a single e-track kit, and it had been box wrong from factory. Carol in customer service took care of it and send me the right parts.
I didn't know they even made a single until I was looking for something to tie my motorcycle down in my pickup. It fits in the recess of the corrugated bed and is rock solid. It's nice that it's the whole kit and I didn't have to go buy nuts and bolts. It came in a few days and the price is right. Thanks guys.
