Installing E-Trac To Build Shelves In Fiber Glass Box Truck
Question:
I bought a 16’ box truck that needs rafters installed. The box itself is pretty bare all the way around: no studs, no rivets, just fiberglass siding. There are bolts along the four edges holding it to the frame, but that’s about it. How would I bypass this?

There will still be metal studs behind the fiber glass wall in the box truck, so you want to purchase a stud finder that is capable of detecting metal studs to attach your track to. I am not entirely sure what you are trying to build when you mention rafters but it sounds like you may be trying to build a shelf like in the pictures I have attached. You can use the E-Track Wood Beam Socket part # 59149 and horizontal or vertical e-track (depending on what you are trying to accomplish) like part # E19146 or part # EM19147.
