Replace worn carpet on your boat trailer's bunks and help protect your boat's finish with this durable, weather-resistant carpet. Marine-grade polyester won't trap in moisture. Resists mold and mildew.
Features:
Specs:
Note: This 11" wide carpeting is designed for use on 2x4 and 2x6 boards. If you use this on your 2x6 bunk boards, some of the board will be exposed on the underside.
Over time, the carpeting that covers your bunk boards can wear down or even tear apart. This can lead to scratches on your boat's hull. Replacing the carpeting periodically ensures protection for your boat, and it will also prevent your wooden bunk boards from rotting.
To get started, remove the old carpet from your bunk boards, doing your best to remove any old staples and bolts from the boards as well.
Cut the carpet to the appropriate length and lay it down so that the backing is facing up, then place your bunk board on top. Make sure that there's enough extra carpet to wrap around the sides and ends of the board. Then wrap the carpet around one side and staple it in place.
Once you're done with the first side, tightly pull the carpet around the opposite edge of the board and secure it with staples. Loose carpet can easily snag or tear, leaving the wooden board vulnerable to moisture or damage.
Once both sides are securely attached, tuck any extra carpet at the ends in tightly, like you're wrapping a package, and secure the ends to the board with staples.

Resists mold and mildew.I am building two side boards for my bass boat trailer. They attach to the inside of the metal fenders which are tandem axle tear drop configuration. I ordered two rolls of the bunk board carpet shown above and they are exactly what I needed to complete the job. eTrailer.com customer service was excellent and I received the carpet in a few days.
I completed the side boards cutting out 1/2 inch plywood and using galvanized staples and latex carpet glue, I have both completed. I am having a new pair of steel fenders made up and am still waiting for them. (Not from eTrailer.com). I'll try to send some pics when I get everything installed on the trailer.
Thanks.

The bunk board carpets continue to work very well for me. As recommended in Q&A, I wrapped the carpet around the board and stapled to the sides and back of the board. No scratching and the carpet stays in place perfectly.
Used the product on a resto of a 1967 Glasspar G3 the trailer is also of the same year material covered all the bunks and is really good quality the product came quickly and great price

The trailer and boat is stored in a temp controlled garage the bunk material is very soft and it looks as fresh as it came off the roll great product
Great product and perfect for the job.
Had to cover the bunk boards on my boat trailer. Easy to work with.
Just received the carpet in the mail. This looks to be a thick, good quality, marine carpet. I am happy with my purchase and look forward to working on my trailer.
Fast and easy to find the parts you need. Delivery was right on time
Good service, quick shipping and very good product.
Covered the longitudinal hull supports and the verticle guides used to center the boat during loading on a homemade trailer for a 32' boat. The covering has provided good protection against scuffing.
Great Service! Just one hickup in my order but was solved in no time.
Super quick response.
Shipment was at my door quick. Thanks E-Trailer.

Bunk carpet has held up well, no signs of wear.
Used the marine carpet to make new runners for my boat trailer. Easily fitted to a new treated 8 ft. 2x4 with stainless steel staples.
Seems good. Only time will tell how well it lasts.
I switched from rollers to bunks for my 17' sailboat. The bunks were 8' pressure treated 2x6s, and each roll covered one bunk with about a foot-and-a-half left over. I've found uses for the remnants since the material is non-abrasive, but very tough.
I used a staple gun to put them on, with a pair of staples every 3". Test it to see what length staples to use. I used the long ones.

After a year, everything is holding up great. I only launch once a year, since I keep the boat on a mooring, but the trailer sits all summer exposed to the sun and rain. Theres been no sign of deterioration.
About a year ago I purchased rolls of CE Smith Marine carpet to rebuild the support bunks on my sailboat trailer. This type of carpet is an excellent product. It fit well on six inch wide pressure treated lumber. It was easy to install with contact cement and stainless steel staples. Looked great, and provided an excellent durable surface. But the best aspect of this carpet was that it was designed for marine application and drained extremely fast. This is an excellent product and the service from etrailer was outstanding. If you are going to rebuild the bunks on your trailer, this is the product to use. You will not be disappointed.
Everything came in as advertised. Purchased CE Smith bolsters, u-brackets, lag screws and carpet. Added two bunk boards to my Lowe trailer (Karavan). Only had two boards and I wanted extra to support the weight of the boat. Everything assembled easily. My boat loads easier and trailers better. Plus I have the piece of mind of having 4 boards vs 2.
Re-placed the boards and carpet on the bunkers on my boat trailer. So far everything is great, no issues.

Carpet looks like new still. Happy DIY boat owner.
Good quality bunk carpet. I looked at some videos on how to install especially the ends and to use stainless steel staples.

The carpet rolls have been working fine. I continued with my trailer restore project and built new bunk boards - 4 each 11 - 12 feet long and carpeted. I also rebuilt the suspension on my trailer - new bolts nuts bushings shackle plates, etc. My trailer and boat loaded up no longer rattle down the freeways. I attached some pics to your response email.
