Still haven't towed anything with it yet but it seems very solid. I do think it will rattle some in the receiver because it is loose in my 2" receiver on my 2019 F150.

I have used this quite a few times over the last year. I have used it in several different heights and it worked great. This is a very strong and heavy product that should last me a life time and on many tow vehicles.

by:

This hitch has worked out great for me over the last year. It’s very heavy duty and easy to adjust. I’ve hauled a 9,000 lb boat, long-distance on numerous occasions without issue. I also haul a landscape trailer on a daily basis weighing over 5,000lbs and haven’t had a single issue. Great hitch that was significantly cheaper than others and is very high quality. I’ve recommended it to several people and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. The only thing I would like to have now in a hitch is a tongue weight gauge, but it isn’t necessary.

It just so happens we offer a tongue weight scale as part # e99044...

by:

This is a great hitch. Highly recommend this hitch. This is my second curt hitch, first one was on my ford f450 but unfortunately that one wouldn’t fit on my new truck, do to shank size.

by:

I am very impressed with C45900 ball mount. Curt is an excellent manufacturer. The only thing I did not like are the snap rings on the pins. I have seen those get hooked unintentionally or be pulled to steal the ball mount. I replaced Curt's pins with Grade 8 bolts, drilled holes and secured with a padlock. It would be nice if someone made a locking hitch pin with enough span for the channel. I added the reflective tape for higher visibility. I live in Phoenix where they have a plant. Please run this idea by them and let me know what they think. The two locking hitch pins would only raise the price by $50. If you have a vendor who has longer pins please let me know. Using unsecured pins is asking for trouble. Thanks--Jerry

Pictures attached. Curt makes such great quality products. I love this new hitch.

Great hitch, after one year I still recommend. Get one!

by:

I really like your products and the shipping of my hitch was very prompt

by:

Excellent product that fit my need perfectly. I tow with 2 trucks, one needs a drop and the other needs it up a bit. I usually leave it on one truck but I also tow 3 different trailers with it and was sick of having to carry all sorts of hitches.
I've had no complaints at all with it, I'd definitely buy recommend it to anyone.

We need the ability for different vehicles to pull a trailer and this should work great but haven't had a chance to use yet.

by:

Excellent product. Installed in minutes. I tow a 14 k lb dump trailer. Needed the additional rise on the hitch. The draw bar is adjustable so that I can tow my utility trailer as well. High quality like most products I have purchased from etrailer.com

Very good except the Rubber s have worn causing hitch to vibrate

Awesome Adjustable Ballmount..

Thanx for a high quality hitch with low or no noise.I will be towing a 12000 lb 30Ft.Rinker.
The hitch is very easy to adjust.

Still Great

by:

High quality build, high towing capacity, very flexible - will adjust to a wide variety of hitch heights. Reasonable price and fast delivery!

by:

Product was better than I thought. Welds looked great. Fit and finish were great. Shipping was fast and well pckaged

by:

I have had this ball mount on my truck for about a year now. Has held up well with no real issues. One pen did disappear earlier this year, but not sure if it somehow worked out on its own or if someone stole it. Replacement was easy to find. Easy to adjust, does not make any noticeable noise.

by:

The hitch worked great I bought this hitch plus a Curt Lunette ring C48660 for my pull truck. Used the hitch setup for the first time last night and worked flawless, I would definitely recommend this setup to my friends the price was great and the hitch is well built. Thanks etrailer

by:

Great product at a great price and shipped very fast. Your warehouse to my door in GA in less than 48 hours FREE! Thanks. I always enjoy dealing with your company.

by:

I like the overall versatility of this hitch but the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because Curt is manufactured in the USA. The box I received says it was made in India! I hope this metal is strong and well made cause my horses lives depend on it.

Thank you for your review. The Curt hitches are assembled in the USA but not the ball mounts. The only adjustable ball mounts that we carry that are made in the USA are the B&W adjustable ball mounts like part BWTS10040B.

by:

Wroks great. I can adjust this hitch for all 6 of my trailers.

by:

I am completely satisfied with the adjustable hitch. It's heavy duty and easy to adjust.

by:

This hitch is as KISS as an adjustable hitch could be. Built very well, with good thick gussets, a solid receiver shank, perfect welds and a good powder coat. The fact the trailer balls are built from one forged piece means no worry about a nut loosening and no weld to potentially break. I would go ahead and recommend you buy two replacement rubber isolators and just go ahead and put them in the other two holes in the hitch so no matter where the ball is it has some contact with an isolator without having to move the one it comes with. I highly recommend etrailer, they have great prices and fast shipping and they put out a lot of very helpful videos and pictures of the products they are selling.

by:

perfect product - super heavy duty, very fast delivery

by:

This hitch mount replaced about 6 others that I kept in my truck under the seat. This hitch is so easy to use. It's strength is so much more than my truck can handle so I have vot been worried about it failing. Adjusting takes seconds. I wish I would have had this for longer and I have had two friends that bought the same one. We all love them. I'm currently a "Band Dad" and I have to often pull about a half dozen trailers. I gave my old hitches to the band and.... everyone wants to borrow mine if I'm not using. Game changer for sure.

by:

Just what I needed in a drop hitch. Very stout. Love the ability to change by 1 inch at a time.

Cody

This has made life so much easier for switching around trailers and being able to load level everything. Should have bought one much sooner.

  • Recommended Parts Needed To Tow a Trailer with a 2013 Toyota Tacoma
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98850 is a great made in USA option for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma. It features a bolt-on install and it has a hidden design. In order to complete the towing setup you'll also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118496 which is plug and play along with a ball mount/hitch ball for which I recommend the Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ball Mount part # C45900. This would give you a complete setup and ready to tow.

  • Do I Need to Modify the Trailer Height After Getting 2" Lift On Truck To Tow Level
For a 2" lift on the 2017 Outback Wagon you should not need to do any adjustments to the trailer to tow level because 2" is minimal. You may need to switch out ball mount to a ball mount with more of a drop if your hitch height has increased. I recommend to measure from the top of the hitch receiver to the ground. Then measure from the bottom of the trailer coupler to the ground. The difference in those two measurements is how much drop you need to tow level. We recommend to be within 2"...

  • What Locking Trailer Hitch Pin Set Will Fit the CURT Channel Style Adjustable Ball Mount
What you can use is the Rapid Hitch Trailer Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set, # AM3492. The shorter lock would replace the hitch pin and the longer one would fit in place of one of the pins that holds the ball. Please note that the capacity of the locks is 10,000 pounds so you would be limited to towing that much weight. I have included a link to a video review of these locks for you.

Due to the height of your trailer, there really isn't a safe way to carry your canoe or kayak other than to add a trailer. • Best Trailer Hitch for a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500
The best trailer hitch for your 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 will vary depending on what you're going to use it for and possibly whether you have an 8 ft. or 6-1/2 ft. bed. If you need to haul a lot of weight I would suggest the Curt Class V CD 2-1/2" # C15703. This will get the most out of your truck for your dollar and will work with either length of truck beds.
