Glad I bought this. Got it for a travel trailer that I picked up 500 miles away in western Montana. Wanted to make sure it would be some what level for ride home. Was able to lock down the latch on top which I thought was awesome!! No worrying about trailer coming unlatched.

This is an absolutely great receiver! I've had zero issues with it and is great for different adjustment of the height for different trucks and trailers. I use this with my car hauler and the adjustability is great feature! Thank you etrailer for the great product I purchased from you. Great product. It is a bit heavy, but it is for heavy loads.
I would like to see a similar model in aluminum, even if it is lighter duty.

These cannot be used with trailer towing they are only designed and rated for flat towing vehicles. If you need more rise or drop than the Curt offers you can go with the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-526. If you take a look at the photo below you can see how this works as a pintle hitch application.

It would be too tight to the top of the coupler and would not let it pivot like it needs to and that's not what it was designed for. It should only be used on a lunette ring application.
