Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we are taking a look at the Blue Ox adjustable ball mount for your two inch hitches. This has a towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds and you have a two inch as well as a two and 5/16 as well. So this is gonna give you a little bit of adjustability so you have your rise as well as your drop. So I measure from the inside corner of your hitch receiver right there at the top. Though for your rise you're gonna get five and three quarter inches. Your drop, which is right here is gonna be five and three quarter inches.

So to switch it around, you do have included two pins and two clips. It's gonna be a very easy process. Take those clips out, push those pins out. It's gonna be a little hefty, so catch that and then flip that around and pop it right back in. So this is also how you adjust the rise and the drop of your hitch ball, when we have it in one position.

You can flip the entire ball mount around too. So I currently have it in the drop position. So we're gonna take out the included hitch pin and clip. So this just has a clip included. If you do want a locking solution we do have the etrailer hitch pin which will also work for you.

That one has a lock and key at the end if you want to secure your ball mount. But once that pin and that clip are out, that's 5/8 pin. Just flip this entire mount around. There are two holes in there for different lengths if needed, pop that right in. We do have this on a two and a half inch hitch receiver with an included reducer.

So even with that, I like how included pin is still long enough to secure it with a clip. This ball mount is made of a heavy duty steel construction. You also have that black powder coat finished to resist corrosion. Now the balls themselves are made of a or have a zinc coating and that helps resist corrosion because if you leave your ball mount behind your truck all the time you wanna make sure that can hold up to the elements and it does not rust away. Now if you wanna compare this to some other ball mounts with like a similar weight capacity as well as design, I would compare it to the Bulletproof hitches 14,000 adjustable ball mount. So it has a 14,000 weight capacity just like this. The main difference is gonna be the coating. So that one has a matte black finish all throughout for corrosion resistance, and the Bulletproof hitches has a 2000 pound towing weight capacity. It does not have the same type of adjustability when it comes to the rise and drop though that this one has. So this has one inch increments up and down which is very helpful if you need those fine adjustments with a good amount of range.
