Fast shipping and good communications. etrailer has constantly delivered with all parts ordered and the one and only time there was damage to an item ordered, they sent me a new one next day. Awesome outfit to deal with.

by:

These parts were a great time and money saver. The tongue jack on this trailer was welded to the trailer cross member by the trailer manufacture, so removing the old jack and welding on a new one was going to be expensive and time consuming; plus the trailer would be out of service for a couple of weeks. With the parts to rebuild the jack, we did the repair in less than two hours. As a bonus, the parts actually arrived two days sooner than promised. Thank you etrailer.com for the great service.

by:

Parts came in a timely manner and were just what we needed. One year later and still going strong

by:

Went to drop my gooseneck horse trailer after use and no-go! Apparently the screw jack became stripped over the years and needed to be replaced. The hardest thing about this project was removing the entire unit from beneath as shown in the pictures. For clearance I had to not only drive the rear wheels onto small ramps but also dig beneath the jack to drop everything out. Everything fit perfectly. The video was great at explaining things. Brendan gave me a few shipping options and items arrived promptly without breaking the bank.

by:

Just what we needed! Worked perfectly.
Thank
you etrailer!

by:

It works as it should.

by:

Exact fit parts. Instructions were helpful as were the available videos. Works much better and easier now. The original bulldog hitch worked for almost 20 years.

by:

It all was great but the shipping took forever, my fault I chose basic but damn that took long!! I just order the rod bc that ended up being the real problem and used priority shipping and you tell me how long it will take?

by:

Did not know the make of the landing gear as all tags were removed when builder painted trailer. James with etrailer was very helpful in figuring out what was needed and the parts are are a perfect replacement for the damaged parts. Parts look to be well made and should last for many years. Thanks James and etrailer for the help.

by:

Product was delivered quickly and was exactly what we were after. Turns out the kit covered several different versions of the jack assembly, but only minor modification (drilling out the pin hole in the cross shaft) was required for the included parts to drop into place. Great service, great product!!

by:

recieved product in short amount of time and correct. excellent service

by:

I had questions if my old jack could be converted to electric and Conner answered
Immediately with how and the part number needed, these folks are spot on.

by:

I RECIVED MY ORDER IN A TIMELY. MANER PARTS WERE WHAT I WANTED. THEY WORKED GREAT. I WOOD BUY FROM ETRAILER ALLWAYS

by:

Had just what I needed at a good price. It shipped immediately . . .and my trailer is back in business.

by:

Great product and great service

by:

prompt delivery. Still waiting for customer to come in for installation.

by:

Exact replacement

by:

Excellent Product. Very fast shipping. I will buy from etrailer again.

by:

Parts worked out great. Jack back in se rvice.

by:

Great service great parts

by:

Product worked exactly as described. I am very pleased, and it has saved my back.

by:

Website was great. Easy to use and full of useful information. Processing was quick and order arrived promptly. I was kept informed all the way through. Will definitely reuse and recommend.

by:

Great products. Other than a hard time driving out the old pin from sprocket, all parts assembled daily. Better than cutting of old assembly and welding new one one.

  • Can a Manual Raise/Lower Trailer Jack Be Converted to Be Used With a Drill
The only jack that can be converted to be used with a drill would be the Bulldog single speed jacks with a 12K capacity. If you have this jack then you'd just need the conversion kit # BD1824200100 and the gear kit # BD500212. Otherwise, you'd need to just replace the jack with one that can be used with a drill like the Trailer Valet JXC Trailer Jack w/ Footplate and Drill Powered Option # TV94FR.

We do sell replacement parts for the Bulldog Square Jack - Fixed Leg - Sidewind, # BD182500. We have the Bulldog Replacement Sidewind Gears, # BD500212, which are the gears located at the top of the jack that the sidewind crank would be connected to. We have a replacement nut and screw repair kit that is for the nut and screw that is located at the bottom of the jack. This is the screw that will raise and lower the leg. The available kit is for jacks manufactured after 2003. The part...

  • Trying to Get Inner Drop Leg of Bulldog Jack to Move After Getting Stuck All the Way Down
Sounds like it's binding up in some way. I would try jacking the trailer up and see if that puts enough force on the drop leg that it frees itself up and allows the pin to drop into a hole again.

  • Recommended Replacement Gears for a 015796 Hammerblow 180 Series Jack
It's most likely not that spring and instead a gear issue. The fact that it is slipping or starting to means the teeth on the gears have been worn down. The grinding feeling means it's getting worse. Like you said the trailer's getting up there in years. The 015796 Hammerblow 180 series have been discontinued for quite awhile but we do offer the Replacement Gear Kit for Bulldog Sidewind Jacks item # BD500212.

  • Replacement Repair Parts for 5th Wheel Landing Gear & Replacement Landing Gear Sets
Since trailer makers don't maintain spec on the jacks they install (especially for a 5th wheel that is close to 17 years old) you'll want to check the jack for any part numbers to help you choose the correct repair kit. We do have bevel gear repair kits for jacks and landing gear from most major makers including Atwood, Stromberg Carlson, Fulton and others. The issue is that there is a screw inside the jack that turns in either direct to raise or lower the jack. It threads through a fixed nut. At the very top of the screw the threads are all mashed up so that the leg can't just fall out. Basically there isn't a way to take the legs out without having to cut open the jack and then it is pretty much useless because it will have lost its capacity. Could you go with a 7,200 pound jack?
