Today, we're going to be taking a look at the square two speed jack with drop leg and spring return. Now, this two speed jack lets you raise and lower your trailer quickly and easily. It's going to feature two different gears. You're going to have a low gear that offers full lifting power and you're going to have a high gear that provides faster operation. This is ideal for standard, agricultural, construction and industrial trailer applications. Features a traditional gear box design that requires you to reposition the crank handle to switch between the gears.
As you can see here the handle is included as well as the attachment hardware to get it installed or attached to one of the two gears. The unit itself is made from a durable steel construction. It's got the nice black powder coated finishing on it to resist rust and corrosion and last a long time. It does feature the drop leg with spring return, so that's going to increase overall extension allowing for maximum adjustability. You'll also notice that the plunger pin is positioned here to the side, which gives it a little bit easier accessibility when you ready to control or adjust that foot plate in the drop leg. That foot plate has a nice round design to it.
Foot plates are designed to really help minimize or prevent sinking on softer surfaces. Simply just helps spread out the applied weight. That foot plate gives us a diameter measurement of nine and seven eighth's of an inch. I also want to point out that on this jack, you're going to notice that it has built in grease zerks. That allows for much easier maintenance. You can attach grease gun to them, pump in the grease and that's going to lubricate the internal components.
Now, this can work with a companion jack. The companion square jack is available and sold separately. The part number TJD-2-5-1-0-0. This has a lift capacity of 25,000 pounds. The overall height of the unit, not including the drop leg with it in the fully retracted position is 30 inches. Fully extended, is going to measure 43 inches.
Again, not including the drop leg, so that's going to provide a travel of around 13 inches. I also want to mention that I tool a few other measurements, like the height from the bottom of the foot plate to the closet point of the outer tube here, with it in the fully retracted position, that measures five inches. Fully extended is 18 inches. Now, the drop leg's going to provide an additional 11 and a half inches of travel. That drop leg has a total of four adjustment holes on it and those are separated on center by four inches. That's going to be your incremental height adjustment. The outer tube on the unit, measures four and three eight's of an inch by four and three eight's of an inch. Nice square design. Inner tube measures four inches by four inches. The rod shaft diameter is one inch and the outer tube link from here to here that's going to give us a measurement of around 25 inches long. That's going to do it for today's look at the square two speed jack with drop leg and spring return.

Quick service and a reasonable price.
Quick shipment and product just as desc ribed
Looks great very heavy well built jack
This jack was a good price. After shopping around I found etrailer has the same item for 50% less than anyone else. The shipment was on time and the heavy metal jack did some damage to the shipping box but that is understandable (the jack was in perfect condition). We were also pleased the crank handle came with it at no extra charge as it was an extra $50+ everywhere else.
Exactly what we needed! Outstanding customer support!
Excellent company to deal with!
Easy to install both in under an hour. Provide good stability to small (boat) trailer when deployed. I can see the paint/powder will be as durable as they were as simple to install
Bought these for my cargo trailer. Did not get around to installing them for several months. When I finally unpacked them, the “foot” of one came off while I was unwrapping them. I had to drill holes and add a few screws to reattach. There was no damage to the box. They still serve their purpose, just disappointing.
An excellent designed product! I used them to replace the jacks that originally came on my small travel trailer. I was able to mount the jacks into the existing holes of the old jacks (no new drilling!). Their operation is much easier than the original jacks, just pull them down, and slide out! The only tool required is the adjustment bar that is sold separately. The reason for 4 vs. 5 stars is that the metal they are made out of is thinner than expected, and the welds on the base plates are just 2 small tack welds. So we will see how long it holds up after extended use
The black paint is the thinnest! Looks well made and works great though. Testing them out this weekend. The pads were too big to fit under our rear bumper. I trimmed them with an angle grinder and gave them a good coat of rustoleum. Problems solved.
Easy to install on Lance 1575 to replace original light weight marginal units. 3.5 ish inch bolt pattern luckily was the same as my originals. I wish they were a little beefier as the metal is quite thin and as others have mentioned, the spot welding is minimal. Good design though. Having read the reviews, I bought an extra to keep in the rig. I will be careful when setting up to prevent ant lateral movement.
Not knowing Wat to buy, Nothing Listed for a 3900lb travel trailer... I believe with certain CAUTIONS these will do better than the aluminum stands i have. Its the word "STABILILIZER" gives proper meaning to these...
Very handy and easy to install and use, but other reviewers are right: you may have to add a shim or spacer between the jack and the trailer frame/floor in order to get enough clearance for the back end of the spring mechanism when the jacks are folded up.
Getting these bolted onto the trailer was the hardest part requiring the purchase of a drill guide so that the holes through the rails were as close as possible to parallel. New tools are never a problem though :) Spend sufficient time making sure that the stabilizer jacks will fold properly and fit where you mount them. They work excellent and it's now easy to ride the big Pan America onto and off of the trailer without it being attached to the truck. Used it that way in Amarillo, Santa Fe and Austin last year and they are about to go west again. All good!
I welded these onto the back of my small luggage trailer. They make good jacks when I take my wheels off for maintenance.
My luggage trailer weighs less than 650 pounds, so it's no problem and very convenient.
Also, if I have a tire blowout on the road, it would be easy to use them as a jack. All I would have to do is let them down.
Good buy for the price also.
Installed easily on my 1962 Serro Scotty trailer making it much easier to level I was using set jack which had very coarse adjustment.
Item was not packed right, came damaged. Have to straight. If your company would invest in bubble wrap or packing paper items would have a less chance of the carrier mishandling item.
This is second shipping problem i have had with this company. Heavy items need to be packed and boxed properly.
Well I received the jacks in a short mount of time which was great. But I was very disappointed with the shipping. There no paper or foam in the box so that the jacks wouldn’t touch or make contact with the small metal bar. So one of the stabliizers jack was damage scraped up. At lease let me be the one to scrape it up. I paid for it.
