  While the hinge style of the Replacement Lid for Ventline # BBC-0530-04 and the # CAM40148 is basically the same the corners of the lids are different. One is square and the other is round. You'd need to check out what your current lid has and go with the one that matches the best.

  From the attached image, it looks like you probably have a Ventline Roof Vent. If you are replacing a wedge shaped lid, you will need the Replacement Dome Assembly for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent, # BVD0449-A03. This works with with Ventline Ventadome roof vent models V2092, V2094, V2119, and V2128. If you are replacing a rounded dome style lid, select the Vent Cover for Ventline Old Style Rounded Dome Trailer Roof Vents, # BBC-0530-04.

  I think I was able to cross-reference "VDO231-00" to a Ventline Northern Breeze Roof Vent Fan and if that's the case you should be good to go with the Vent Cover for Ventline Old Style Rounded Dome Trailer Roof Vents part # BBC-0530-04 for smoke or part # BV0554-01 for white which both use a continuous hinge. I have attached a photo of this hinge type below. If this doesn't look like what you need please just let me know and I'd be glad to see if we have another option for you.

  It sounds like the original vent lid on your 2004 Jayco Eagle could have been a custom part since all of the continuous hinge lids we sell, shown on the linked page, have their lid actuator channel centered on the lid. If you can find a manufacturer name on the vent you might be able to determine via internet search if the company still exists and whether parts are still available. Instead I recommend replacing the entire vent with a new one for which you'll certainly have an easier time...

  We do have the correct cover for your Ventline V2119 but the Vent Cover # BBC-0530-04 that you referenced is not it. This vent cover has a continuous hinge on it whereas the one you are looking for does not. The cover you are needing instead is the Replacement Dome Assembly # BVD0449-A03. This fits your V2119 model so that you will have the assembly part # V2119-603-00. This cover is darker than the blue/grey cover that you referenced and it will do a good job at keeping sunlight out...
