Go Tankless or Go Home

Tankless Water Heater

Say goodbye to quick, military-style showers, refilling your tank, and waiting for the hot water to recover. This revolutionary design replaces your outdated tank heater and gives you the luxury of taking back-to-back showers, washing dishes, and running a load of laundry all at once. Unlike traditional tank heaters that require constant energy to keep your water hot, this tankless, propane-fueled water heater only uses energy when you turn on your faucet or shower, providing the ultimate efficiency at a campground or off-the-grid. The endless, on-demand hot water has no recovery time and is perfect if you're on the road full-time or traveling with a large group. Small, medium, and large access doors available separately (FR43FR, FR63FR, and FR73FR).

Relaxing Showers without Scalding or Freezing

Vortex Pic

Has your warm and relaxing shower ever been interrupted by a cruel burst of ice-cold water? Perhaps you've been the victim of a scorching surge of hot water that scalds you and sends you dancing out of harm's way. Either way, it's the worst, but those days are over. Furrion's vortex technology is designed to eliminate those dreaded hot and cold water fluctuations by consistently mixing hot and cold water together to reach your desired temperature, ensuring those warm, comfortable showers.

Safety First

This state-of-the-art technology is equipped with built-in safety measures to ensure you, your family, and your RV stay out of harm's way.

Its dual temperature sensors automatically shut off power if the water temperature exceeds 149 F, preventing the unit from overheating while also reducing the risk of hot water scalding. The unit also has a flame monitoring feature that cuts off the gas supply if the flame goes out to prevent gas from leaking inside your RV and a built-in safety valve that allows pressure to vent at 87 psi to prevent excess pressure and heat build-up.

Anti-Freeze Control Board

This tankless water heater features a control board to keep itself warm when temperatures drop. Freezing water can damage the unit, so an internal thermostat monitors water temperature and will turn the heat on automatically when it gets too cold. This feature will only work if the water heater is receiving power and gas. You will need to remember to winterize the water heater before storage over the winter.

This was a good replacement for my Atwood on demand water heater. I used aluminum angle stock to fill in on both sides of the opening Painted the 16 x 18 inch door black to match the other appliance covers on the camper. Was also able to us a gas line that went from the inside to the outside of the old water heater to extend the camper gas line about 6 inches.

It is a much better product than the Atwood on demand water heater it replaced. Still highly recommend this product.

5 stars for etrailer and Will specifically. The first unit we got was a lemon. After replacing the motherboard that furrion sent us under warranty it still wasn’t working properly. Contacting furrion was pointless. They didn’t have any replacements in stock so with them we were out of luck. Thank God we purchased from etrailer! Will (who is literally the best customer service rep I’ve ever dealt with from any company) helped us out immediately. He sent us a replacement almost overnight along with a prepaid shipping return label for the lemon. This new one worked like a champ.

The few cons I will say I’ve encountered with this water heater... sometimes it has a mind of its own and the temperature will just climb all the way up to 124 and then come back down even though it’s set at 95. I have no idea why it does this, fortunately it doesn’t happen very often. I cannot get a lukewarm shower very easily, if I turn on the cold water to cool it off it either makes the hot water heat up more to compensate or completely turns off the hot water. That’s kinda annoying. Sometimes it won’t even do 95, it starts at like 102 or higher, I’m thinking it’s bc it’s summer and the ground water is just too warm? Idk but that’s kinda frustrating too. Sometimes it’s hot out and you don’t want a hot shower but not a freezing one either, somewhere in the middle is ideal and on those days it’s hard to get the right temperature. Another issue is a design flaw so that when It rains, water gets in the exhaust hole and it will prevent the water heater from turning on. My husband put duct tape over it to create a flap which looks [bad] but works well. Haven’t had a problem since. Furrion would do well to create a flap for the exhaust hole to prevent this issue. Other than that, it does heat on demand as it should and keeps the temperature well. I love having endless hot water in the shower, especially since we have multiple people showering daily. Because it works on low pressure we have no need to install a separate pressure regulator as many have to do with the other brands available. We’ve never had an issue with it working no matter what water pressure we have.

Overall I would definitely recommend this one. It can operate on lower pressure than the other ones out there and is more powerful. The control monitor is perfect too. We placed ours in the bathroom by the shower since we knew that would be the only time We’d want to adjust the water temp. It works well, has advantages over the others on the market and is a little cheaper to boot.

Thank you for your review. The hot water heather has a default temperature of 115 F which is why it gets hotter initially.

I replaced a troublesome truma tankless which was factory installed on our 2018 jayco precept. This one is so much better than the truma, there's really no comparison and its about 1/4 the price of the truma. Installation was a breeze, too. We love this water heater!

by:

It was an exact replacement for the unit I was replacing. Delivered promptly.

by:

It's the best thing I've done to my trailer. No more 5 minute showers or waiting for more hot water to finish the dishes.

by:

This water heater works well in my 2002 Wilderness 5th. I can shower with no problem.

I really like the fact that this water heater heats water. Its not woke in any way it just makes water hot and I like that.

I’m a construction worker so I use my camper year round. I’ve had it mostly up north in Indiana and in the wv mountains for winter and summer. The water heater has been great especially when it’s real cold. This is the second one I’ve owned (sold the first camper) and I will probably owe more of them. Works great and pretty easy install. Froze once but didn’t hurt it. Thawed it out and right back to work.

by:

After almost being scalded 3 times by the Atwood that came with our coach, I decided to replace it with the Furrion. It is so much better than the Atwood, it's difficult to say enough good things about it. Once it gets to the setpoint, it basically never fluctuates. Showers are so much more pleasant. I also was able to modify the outside cover so that the paint scheme still matches up with the paint on the coach.

by:

I’m so glad I got this. It’s the easiest installation I’ve ever dealt with!! The heater is awesome!!!

by:

Best investment I’ve made to my camper. Plenty of endless hot water for showers! Wouldn’t recommend trying to wash dishes or anything while showering but the water heater keeps a hot shower for as long as you feed it propane and it doesn’t use much propane to run

by:

Fast shipment easy installation

by:

This was the second one that I have bought. The 1st one had the heater manifold rupture when we had a hard freeze. I had blown the lines out but had missed the small drain plug.

The 2nd heater has worked well even though we have spent 6 straight weeks living full time in it during our relocation to Georgia.

My only complaint is the time that it takes to deliver hot water. If you are boondocking you will soon fill the grey water tank. Works okay on full hookups.

by:

This was a replacement for a damaged unit and was under warranty with grand design. Installed myself and have had no issues. It supplies hot water until you run out of propane which we have not done. We've done the tank style water heater in rv's we've owned in the past and on demand is a luxury upgrade that will make your rv'ing experience a bit more enjoyable. Cheers

by:

Awesome works exactly as it should and very easy to install. The multi option door sizes made the install look like it was always there.

by:

Fast shipping from a trusted seller.

by:

I run a food trailer and this hot water heater does an excellent job. It was not hard to install. I always have hot water on demand.

by:

I love it! I was in -55 degree real feel and had scalding hot water on demand!

by:

The best upgrade to our camper we have ever done, so good in fact we put one in the rv as well. Endless hot water as hot as you want, I have to add cold water to take a shower that isn’t too hot.
We buy from etrailer as much as possible because they carry the best quality items and have the BEST customer service of anywhere I have felt with.
Thank you Melissa!
