Arrived as described. Disappointed to discover that etrailer.com does not carry mounting brackets for their regulators, but I welcomed the opportunity to dust off my diy skills. Note the bailing wire. Super pro! Also, if anyone knows what happens when one uses a vertical regulator horizontally, I'm all ears.

Thank you for the review! It looks like the vent placement is one the main differences in the two kinds of regulators. They are placed in such a way that debris from the road will is less likely to clog them. When using the vertical regulator horizontally, the openings are more likely to get clogged which can be a safety issue.

by:

The problem I was having was orange flame on the stove. Looking on line it said that was caused by a defective propane regulator. We were using a humidifier, with the humidifier turn on we got orange flames with the humidifier turned off blue flames.

by:

Love that it works in freezing temperatures! Perfect for our off grid living!

by:

Exact replacement to what the camper came with. It works great with no issues

by:

The package arrived on time and undamaged. Nothing more to say great service.

by:

The mounting holes (4) in the back were not threaded, so we could not use them. We have tried this type of regulator from Camo and Mr Heater. They use the same type of mounting holes / plate and are cheaper, but they stop working after about 3 yrs. We have tried the Auto switching regulators, for two 100lb tanks, they don't work at low temperatures (<0F).

by:

400k btu’s an hour. Hard to beat that

by:

MB Sturgis is a quality OEM part on many rvs and the price is right.

by:

Good company to buy from. (first time, but not the last) I think the gas regulator the camper came with never worked right sense it was bought new. First time it has worked right. The original one was mounted wrong from the factory. Parts got here quick, good packaging to keep from getting damaged in transit.

by:

I don't know much about propane but this regulator was just what I needed and it works perfectly fine. I was glad I could find one at etrailer.com

by:

It's exactly what I needed for the perfect fit. One year later, very happy with the product and would definitely buy again if needed.

by:

Working as designed. No issues with the installation. Be careful plastic black cap on the 2nd stage may be loose as was mine. a challenge to retrieve it where it fell, of course as is always the case. All is well

by:

The propane regulator I ordered seems to be made of quality as does the flex hose. Will order again when I need. Thanks ..,....

..Merry Christmas to all.

by:

I ordered two items from Etrailer.com and received my order within days...fast delivery and savings make this my primary RC parts retailer.

by:

Best regulator of all .Will continue to work in very cold weather.

by:

I’ve had to replace my regulator twice. So far this one is working great.

by:

Mounting holes not tapped. No thread cutting screws. No mounting template.

by:

Good overall. Time will tell with dependability. As usual these days, not the exact same quality of what it is replacing.

by:

Works as described and gets the gas to my appliance.

by:

Product was shipped quickly and worked well.

by:

Reasonable price, fast shipping.Has laster longer than original.

  • Recommended Regulator For An Instant Water Heater And Dryer
For your water heater and dryer I recommend using the Camco Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59333, which is a horizontal regulator with a POL fitting already included, or the MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 108220, which is a vertical regulator. You'll want to match the current design of your propane system so that the vent is facing down. The # 108220 will require you to purchase a POL fitting # 204037-MBS separately to attach to your tanks. I'm assuming since...

  • Is 12.5" Water Column Too High For and RV Propane System
No, 12.5" water column is not too much for an RV propane system. Most propane regulators found on an RV system like the MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 108220 are going to have a water column of around 11". But, the pressure can range up to around 14" water column before the regulator would be considered to have "failed". So, 12.5" water column is just fine.

  • How to Hook a Converted Propane Clothes Dryer Up To a 100 Lb Propane Tank
The MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator part # 108220 will work with your 100 lb propane tank if mounted straight up and down so that the vent is facing the ground (see photo). In order to attach this regulator to the tank you will need to use the MB Sturgis Hose Assembly part # 100202. In order to recommend the correct fittings and hose to attach the outlet of the regulator to your clothes dryer I would need to know what fitting you have on your clothes dryer. If you do not...

We offer both vertical and horizontal 2-stage propane regulators that will provide the 11-inch water column pressure you need. • Parts Needed to Add Temporary 20 Pound Tank to Motorhome 30 Gallon Tank
It sounds like you are wanting to use a temporary 20 pound propane tank to power your appliances so that you won't deplete your motorhome's 30 gallon tank. We actually have a kit available that includes everything needed to do just this. I recommend looking at the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w/ Hoses for POL Valve # 103539-MBS. This includes a T-fitting that will connect in-line between your tank valve and your pressure regulator. The 2 model 250 quick-disconnect ports will then allow...

  • Recommended Regulator For Champion Generator Model # 200988
Yes, but the orientation of how the regulator is mounted will matter because the vents on the regulator will need to always be facing down to prevent them from getting clogged. If you plan on mounting the regulator horizontally or vertically you'll need to choose the corresponding regulator. • Can the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail # 100575-20-MBS be Connected Directly to Regulator
Typically a regulator will have a 1/4" Female NPT inlet, like what the MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 108220 has. For the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail # 100575-20-MBS to connect to your regulator you will need the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Fitting # 402258-MBS. If you already have the gold adapter fitting with the Female Inverted Flare fitting then the adapter is not needed.

  • Troubleshooting Regulator Vent Leak and Regulator Replacement
There are a couple things you can try to narrow down your issue and find the correct option to fix it. First, you can make a mixture of dish soap and water, generously apply the mixture to your regulator. With all flames shut off, open your tanks and look for leaks. The soap/water mixture will bubble. Since you said that the leak didn't start until you changed your propane tank you may have a propane tank that was overfilled. Which is causing too much pressure and causing the regulator...

The MB Sturgis # 108220 propane regulator can maintain 11" water column and up to 400,000 BTU/Hour. • Recommended Propane Regulator and 8 to 10 Foot Hose to Supply a Food Trailer
To supply your food trailer from your 100 pound tank you're going to need a pigtail, like part # 100473-20-MBS, that goes from the tank to a regulator. The regulator needs to be a 2-stage regulator like part # 108220. Then from the regulator use part # 100040-144-MBS. It's 12 feet long so more than what you need but we don't have an 8 to 10 foot hose that has a 3/8 male to connect to a regulator with a 3/8 female flare on the other end. The next shortest option we carry is 6 feet long,...

Your trailer's regulator needs to be readjusted by a qualified technician or replaced to get your pressure back down to an acceptable level. • Regulator for Running Two 90,000 BTU Fryers on Food Truck

If you have a single tank then I recommend the MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator - 11" Water Column Outlet # 108220 instead. Gas lines on RV's are typically 3/8" OD with a some being 1/2" OD so 3/4" pipe would likely be a bit overkill for your needs. The MB Sturgis Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 108220 you referenced does have a 1/4" Female NPT inlet and 3/8" Female NPT outlet so you'd have to check with your local hardware store for an adapter fitting/hose to go from these to 3/4" pipe.

The two stage regulator is also the best option for the heater that is most likely running for extended amounts of time. • Regulator for Generac Propane Generator
12 inch water column is standard for LP low pressure propane so for a regulator the # 108220 would work great as it is an LP regulator capable of 400,000 btu/hr. Now the longest supply hose we have is 12 feet like with the part # 37207-31365 which would not cover 50 feet and we aren't able to determine what fitting your generator may need so you might confirm that and we can go from there.

  • Gas Not Switching to Secondary Tank After Regulator Replacement
A 2-stage propane regulator like part # 108220 is not designed to switch over the gas from one tank to another. In order to switch the flow of gas from one tank to another you would need to use an auto changeover regulator like part # CAM59005. A 2-stage and auto changeover regulator may both look the same but are very different in function. This is likely why the gas is not switching for the empty tank and not a failed secondary regulator like part # 108072.
