Parts Needed to Add Temporary 20 Pound Tank to Motorhome 30 Gallon Tank

Question:

Currently have a 30 gallon permanent mounted tank with its own regulator. MH is parked. I want to add a temporary 20 pound tank so I can refill without moving the MH. Using the two stage changeover regulator means the LP gas would pass through 2 regulators. Will this work and what parts so you recommend.

It sounds like you are wanting to use a temporary 20 pound propane tank to power your appliances so that you won't deplete your motorhome's 30 gallon tank. We actually have a kit available that includes everything needed to do just this. I recommend looking at the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w/ Hoses for POL Valve # 103539-MBS. This includes a T-fitting that will connect in-line between your tank valve and your pressure regulator. The 2 model 250 quick-disconnect ports will then allow you to easily hook up and disconnect the included hoses without any tools. You will not need a regulator between your motorhome's main tank and the temporary 20 pound tank.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this product so you can see exactly what all is included.

If you are instead wanting to actually fill your motorhome's tank with a smaller 20 pound unit, unfortunately we do not have the pieces available that will allow you to do this, as it will need to go through a different connection.
