1999 Ford Van - Derale Transmission Pan Cooler for Ford E4OD, 4R100, 5R110 and 5R110W

  • Pan-Cooler
  • With 1/8 NPT
  • 6-1/8D Inch
  • Derale
  • Below the Vehicle Mount

It's a simple concept - use the air beneath your Ford Van to cool your transmission fluid. With Derale's pan cooler, this process becomes even more effective because of the patented turbulator cooling tubes and large-capacity construction.

Features:

  • Can reduce fluid temperatures by as much as 20 F - 50 F
  • Offers superior cooling with turbulator tubes
  • Dissipates heat faster than previous models thanks to heat-resistant, black coating
  • Constructed of heavy-gauge, stamped steel
  • Increases transmission fluid capacity of your Ford Van
  • Includes gasket and magnetic drain-plug kit with reusable rubber-and-steel washer
  • Temperature sensor (D13009 - sold separately) can be attached to side port
  • Made in USA

Specs:

  • Tube diameter: 5/8"
  • Added capacity:
    • 7 Qts, 30 oz for a Ford 4R100
    • 7 Qts and 10 oz for a Ford 5R110
  • Pan depth: 6-1/8"
  • Tube depth: 4-3/8"
  • 1-Year warranty

Commonly used on vintage hot rods and race cars, Derale's pan coolers are designed to add a little extra cooling power to keep your Ford Van's transmission operating at its best. Simple installation involves replacing the existing oil pan with the new Derale one, which, in addition to providing cooling power, also increases fluid capacity. The built-in turbulator tubes allow air to flow through, pulling the heat that has collected in the pan's surface and dissipating it into the surrounding environment.

Great product and great value for the price. I looked at the fancy aluminum pans that are twice the price, but decided on Derale. I felt this was a sturdier product especially for 4 wheeling. I tow a 10,000lb boat and my transmission has never been cooler. Seals well to the stock transmission and so far no leaks after a year. I highly recommend Derale.

2010 Ford F-150

Well folks, I received my cooler yesterday and it came on time as requested. It was packaged very well with two boxes inside one big box. The coil came in one box separate from the other box with the coil guard in it. Assembly was easy - guard to coil. I'm going to put it on my truck today and it looks very easy to install. The employees at etrailer were very helpful in splitting my order. I have the pan cooler on back order and they keep me abreast of shipping. Even through I may not need both coolers on my truck, I decided to put both on because I have a 2002 Ford F150 4x4 and tow a 10,000 lb camper that left me sitting on the mountain with an overheated transmission. I want to protect my 2 year old transmission. I never knew that I needed a trans cooler until now. I have pulled 10,000 lbs a lot of time but its been on med hills with no problem. The mountain showed me that I always needed one. So my recommendation is if you are towing heavy loads. Get one of these coolers. I going to purchase another cooler for my SUV so I'm ready. Thanks Again etrailer for a great product.

2001 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

01f250 deisel . Trans temp would go to 220 degrees . Common ford problem. Found your web site and found the trans cooler and deep trans pan for a better price than a factory trans cooler that everyone suggested installing. Parts arrived in a timely manner . Installed cooler and pan in 2 hours also drained torque converter . Very easy install. Did have to get a couple feet more hose . No big deal. Drove 1000 miles 90 deg outside temp. Trans temp never went over 180 deg. Thank you.

The pan it self is very good but there are two things about it are poor one is the gasket and second is drain plug gasket.

2000 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

Very happy with quality of product.
Had
a issue with some parts missing, but it was handled in great!
Want to thank Chris with Etrailer for handling my issue with urgency, and the great follow up I received.

by:

Came slightly bent and with bad threads for temp sensor port. Tapped threads and fixed. Dont want to hold up work with return bs. and hope the next one is better. Temp sensor port is rather low on pan, would prefer it slightly higher as it is quite removed from active exchange fluid area.
Tow lots on heavy stuff, need extra capacity and cooling boost. Works fine. Added Derale remote cooler with this as well.

by:

Easy installation. Don't have a temp. Guage yet so not sure on temperature difference. I know it is some cooler now because I can handle dipstick with bare hands.

Supplemental transmission coolers like the Derale # D13504 and adapter kit # D13025 that fit your 2006 Ford F-250 V8 are installed on the transmission's return line. This will be the line that carries the transmission fluid from the primary cooler back to the transmission. The Derale cooler will take in this pre-cooled fluid and continue to cool it before routing it back to the transmission. If you start the cold truck, shift it into gear for about 15-seconds, and then shut it off you...

The Derale Series 9000 Transmission Cooler Kit, item # D13614, would be a good choice. You will also need the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for Ford, item # D13025, to complete the installation on your 5.4 Liter Expedition. A larger capacity transmission pan would be a good idea also. If your Expedition has a 4R100 transmission...

  • Derale Transmission Pan Cooler # D14208 for 1996 Ford F250 w/ 7.3L Engine
According to my research, the 1996 F250 7.3l engine should have a E40D transmission. There are two different ways of confirming this. First, you can check the sticker on the driver's side door jamb. You will see the letters TR or TRANS, followed by a letter. If the letter is E, you have the E40D transmission. Secondly, you can check the number of bolts holding the transmission pan on. If there's 20 bolts, it's a E40D. The Derale # D14208 is indeed compatible with the E40D transmission.

  • Transmission Cooler for 2000 Ford F-250 Towing Heavy 5th Wheel Trailer
Any fluid leaking from a vehicle is a warning. Often this indicates excessive temperatures in your transmission. If your transmission is stressed to the point of leaking fluid this means that somewhere either a seal, hose or other fitting is being pushed past its limit.
