I show that the transmission used on your 2005 Ford F-150 5.4 liter engine is the 4R75E transmission. I have a transmission cooler that will work on your vehicle, but the Derale Transmission Pan Cooler, part # D14208, that you have referenced, will not fit your transmission.
For a transmission cooler on your 2005 Ford F-150 5.4 liter engine I would recommend the Derale Series 8000 Transmission Cooler, part # D13503. This would be an excellent choice for your vehicle and will install in front of the air conditioning condenser. It would give you maximum cooling capacity and will work on your vehicle as long as there is room to mount it.
You will also need the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings, part # D13025. This fittings will allow you to connect the transmission cooler to the radiator without cutting or flaring any lines.
I am including a link to a video review on the Derale Series 8000 transmission cooler.
