Cross Member Need get Removed to Install Derale Transmission Cooler # D14208 on 2005 Ford Excursion
Question:
will this pan fit on ford excursion 2005 with 6.8 v10 without moving the transmission crossmember? i have been wanting to put a pan on mine but mag-hytec says transmission crossmember movement is required on 2005 but not 2004. in my experience the 2004 and 2005 are exactly the same trans and engine also suspension. would like to use your pan if possible thanks,

The Derale Transmission Cooler part # D14208 that you referenced is designed to fit your 2005 Ford Excursion as long as you have one of the following transmissions:
E4OD, 4R100, 5R100, or 5R100W
You can remove the crossmember to install the # D14208, but most guys are able to just slide the pan back towards the rear of the vehicle once the bolts are removed and you will be able to remove your stock pan and install the new pan without dropping the cross member.
