It was a great price and has worked no problems

by:

I used this adapter to connect 4-way auxiliary tail lamps for a hitch-mounted bike carrier to a 6-way winnebago connector. It works fine for marker lights and turn signals but not for brake lights. I think there is a winnebago-specific wiring pattern that this adapter does not cover.

The wiring harness continues to work as I described. It has been durable and weather resistant. I have had it in continuous service for the past year and over 30,000 miles.Overall, it works well and I am pleased.

You guys are awesome. When I bought my motor home the dealer didn't have anything to adapt to my simple 4 wire setup and after working up a cost to cob a bunch of things together to get lights working on my toad I finally told them no thanks and drove home without lights(it was a daylight run)...got on your site and found exactly what I needed. I will refer anyone who asks to your site.
Best regards,
TJ

Perfect...made my life a lot easier when it came to pulling trailers!..On top of the great service when I purchased the item, greta communications as well as a great product!

by:

I believe would have worked great. However, I sold car dolly I was going to tow before I got to use it. It appeared compatible with the wiring on my 2000 Minnie Winnie hitch. Hope to use it in the future.

by:

With the price of gas the way it is and I was looking for a way to get a small utility trailer to hook up to my 2010 Goldwing Trike to hall my shrine go kart to go to the parades, this little item came right in to place. Works real well. Thank you so much for the fine plug.

by:

Order processing was fast and accurate. ETrailer contacted me when they found a delay in the original part availability and suggested a substitute. I haven't plugged my trailer into it yet, but fit to the truck connector was precise and connector looks to be of very good quality.

by:

Having previously purchased trailer accessories from etrailer is why I ordered again from them. My experience with this company has been outstanding. Orders are promptly filled, and shipped quickly. Highly recommended!

by:

perfect fit, exactly what I needed! Fast delivery

by:

I have a 6 pin plug mounded in my bumper which works for MY trailer but if I used or rented someone else's trailer, they usually took a 4 flat plug. This will work perfectlly for that situation. Thank you etrailer!

by:

Wire harness for Chrysler van works great. Simple to install and saved a bundle. Thanks

by:

easy to install. worked great with my trailer 3 pin hook up

by:

Worked perfectly! Instead of replacing the entire wiring harness on my old 98 Chev pickup, I just use this adaptor.

by:

Used this adapter to plug the lights in to pull my jeep behind our motorhome never had any issues and the lights worked great the whole four week trip

by:

This adapter is well made and allows me to connect my boat trailer to my motorhome. etrailer shipped quickly and were great to deal with.

by:

The adapter works correctly, but the alignment strip was a little too large and needed trimmed down to plug into my vehicle. It took 15 seconds with a pocket knife.

by:

Plugs directly into my vehicle trailer light system. Easy to use.

by:

Good Product. Etrailer has all of the parts you need for your trailer. They have videos if you need help. Parts are of good quality and are sent quickly. I will put them on my list to reorder when I need them again.

by:

i have ordered items from you before and have been satisfied, the only thing i had to do with this adapter was shave a bit off to get my plugs to fit

by:

All of the products I have purchased from etrailer have been high quality and a great value.

by:

This product is exactly what I needed to hook up my utility trailer to my pickup truck. I worked perfectly.

  • Tow Bar Recommendation to Flat Tow a 2011 GMC Terrain with a Roadmaster Sterling Tow Bar
The EZ style base plates you have ordered are compatible with the Roadmaster Sterling Tow Bar, # RM-576, and nothing else is required to aid in ease of installation or removal. The tow bar comes with safety cables and a 6-pole connector. Both the towing and towed vehicles will need a RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector - Vehicle End, # RM-910030-7. Finally, you will need to check with the manufacturer for instructions on the proper procedure for towing your vehicle because some vehicles...

  • How to Adapt From a 6-Way Trailer Connector to a 4-Way Connector
It sounds like your trailer has a 4-way flat connector and your 1976 Ford Truck has a 6-way. Which if this is the case all you would need is the correct adapter, part # PK12717. If I have that backwards and you need the opposite adapter all you would need is part # A10-6034VP. I also attached an FAQ article that has wiring diagrams for all trailer connector styles.

  • Why Does a 6-Way to 4-Way Adapter Only have 4 Contacts
An adapter such as # 37325 or # PK12717 will only have the necessary pins required by the 4-Way end. These are the basic lighting functions; left/right turn signals, brake lights, and running lights. And the 4th is the ground (the turn signals and brake lights are combined on the same circuit for each side of the trailer). A trailer that uses a 4-Way flat connector does not have the other functions on a 6-Way. If the connector on your 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee is factory then it is likely...

No, need for pictures! I have exactly what you need. It is the Pollak 6 Pole to 4 Pole Connector Adapter item # PK12717. This will plug into your RV's 6-pin and allow you to control your Wrangler's lights through its 4-way connector.

  • What Adapter Do I need to Convert the 6-Way to a 4-Way on my 2010 Chevy Avalanche for a Hitch Cover
For a 6-Pole Round connector, you would use adapter part # PK12717. Most of the manufacturers use 7-Pole connectors, not 6. There are 6 flat pins arranged in a circle with a large center post as the 7th contact. In this case, you would use part # PK12716. Check the pictures of the parts I mentioned and you should be able to tell which is on your truck. I just do not want you to end up with the wrong part.

  • Tow Bar Wiring to Go From 2023 Coachmen Leprechaun 319MB to 2018 Jeep Cherokee
The trailer wiring at the rear of a 2023 Coachmen Leprechaun 319MB would be a 7-way. The included umbilical wiring that comes with the Roadmaster Nighthawk part # RM-676 has a 7-way on the RV side so that would match up so you wouldn't have to rewire anything. An easy solution to connect the Hopkins Tow Bar Wiring Kit part # HM56208 that fits your 2018 Jeep Cherokee would be a 6-way to 4-way adapter part # PK12717 and you'd be set without having to rewire anything.

  • Trailer Connector Adapter Needed to Convert 6-Way to 4-Pole
