Trailer Brake Magnet for 7" Hubs

Today we're going to take a look at the replacement trailer brake magnet kit for your Dexter 7" and 10" trailer brake assemblies. This whole complete kit will allow you to replace the worn out magnet on your 7" or 10" trailer brake. Helps you save money and time because it's better than having to replace the whole brake assembly. It is designed to work with the following brake assemblies: a Dexter 7" x 1 1/4" brake assembly for 2,200 pound axles, part number 23-47 and 23-48 and the Dexter 10" x 1 1/2" brake assemblies for 2,800 pound axles. You can see this is a round magnet design. Has a nice sleeve on it that covers the wires, protects them from any abrasion. That's when these wires go through the backing plate on the brake assembly, you don't want them rubbing against there and causing them to cut or break. It comes with the two wires, two white wires. They are electric brakes so they do need to be connected.
One goes to the brake feed. The other goes to a good clean ground and they're both white wires so either wire can be used for either function. This part includes the magnet, the spring and the retainer clip. The dimension on the magnet itself, it's a round magnet so the diameter is right at 1 7/8" and the overall height on it is right at 3/4" tall. But that should do it for the review on the replacement trailer magnet kit for the Dexter 7" and 10" trailer brake assemblies.

WOW been a year now! There hasn't been any problems with the products for my Aluma ATV trailer. The 12 volt electric brake magnets to the dust cap covers you cannot beat the quality of these items and the excellent price paid for these. etrailer products and the great customer rep (George J) always following up.

The trailer magnets were exactly what I expected and fit my application without any difficulties. I especially appreciated that all of the necessary springs and clips, necessary for installation, were included in the package. The parts arrived promptly within a few days after placing the order. I have no complaints.

magnets worked great but got hot because shoes weren't adjusted right, my own fault, prompted me to get new camper, thank you etrailer. I will still by your products in the future.

The brake parts were a match to the old ones and fit perfectly and arrived ahead of schedual. Just got back from a 10 day trip and they worked great.
Parts came quickly and fit perfectly. My only complaint is one (I ordered 4) came with two springs and no retainer clip. So I had to make one
You guys came to the rescue on my 1988 prowler, finding parts for an old trailer is difficult, but thanks to you I will be on the road for fall camping.

Exact replacement, easy to install.
Worked exactly as expected, except that the clips are very hard to use and easily ruined. Do yourself a favor and order clips BP19-001 as backup. Cheap insurance and valuable spares.
