Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
- If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
- If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
- If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
- If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Great tires for my 19’ Tahoe , I installed these tires when I picked up my boat in Gettysburg Pa and trailered it all the way to South Jersey without any issues . I used the trailer every other weekend to the Jersey shore and at this time have been great !! The one thing I do is remove the new tires during winter storage and place the old rims and tires on the trailer for storage in the winter weather to help with the life of these new ones !

Always five stars. I ordered tires for my RV last year and was so impressed now they get all my Trailer Business. I just ordered the 215 75/14 for my boat. I was going to go with Galvanized but the powder coat on theses will hold up just as well. Now waiting on other parts to come in. We could not be happier with this purchase and transaction. The prices were quite reasonable, for this market & product, and the free-shipping saved us nearly $200. They got here faster than expected at 10 days, each tire & rim assembly were boxed separately and arrived undamaged - see pictures. I had trouble figuring out how to get a spare tire for my boat trailer. I finally looked online and found e-trailer. It was easier than I expected to find the mounted tire I wanted, and the price was lower than I expected based on my previous inquiries. I bought it last spring, and had a blowout of a tire the following fall on the way to boat storage, so it was lucky I had bought the spare. Everything looked good, so I now bought a second tire and plan to replace the remaining old tire in the spring and use the old tire for a spare. Delivery was faster than I expected for such a large, heavy item, too. I am a tough reviewer, but have no qualms about giving a five star rating for the product, pricing, service, and website shopping experience.

Looked good. Bought it for a spare on a boat trailer. Used it less than a year later when I had a blowout on the tire that originally came with the trailer. So, I bought another one that will be a spare this spring. I will then use it to replace the other tire on the trailer this summer after the boat has gone in the water.

I ordered three of these to upgrade my Coleman Niagara camper. They were installed along with an axle flip kit for more clearance. Wheels arrived very quickly, well packed and ready to go; they even had the correct air pressure in them! Date codes on the tires were essentiallty brand new from the factory. I was told about this website by a friend of mine. He highly recommended it. AND SO DO I ! Excellent service even when I accidently doubled the order by mistake. I worked with Anna S.
