Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.

Corrosion-Resistant Finish

The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.

Improved Torque Retention Technology

Beveled Stud Holes Front and Back

The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.

Provider Radials with Automotive-Grade Tread

Provider Tread Vs Standard Tread

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Match Mounted and Balanced Trailer Tire Assembly

In an ideal world, tire-and-wheel assemblies would be perfectly round and even throughout. Unfortunately tires and wheels have imperfections that often cause vibrations, resulting in a rough ride and wear and tear on the assemblies, as well as on the rest of your trailer's running gear. Taskmaster helps to solve this problem by match mounting and balancing their assemblies so they're ready to roll when they reach your door.

To do this, Taskmaster uses a laser-guided machine to locate the heavy and light spots of each assembly. They then align the assembly so that lightest part of the tire is near the heaviest part of the wheel. The assembly is then rotated at high speeds to pinpoint the optimal place to apply weights to further balance the tire.

Don't delay your adventures by having to take your trailer to the shop for new tires. Start rolling as soon as possible with easy-to-install, fully balanced tire-and-wheel assemblies from Taskmaster.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

I ordered these wheels and tires for an older fixer-up (I honestly had no idea how much I was going to have to "fix HER up!)travel trailer. They arrived within 24 hours!!!! I was pleasantly shocked and amazed at the fantastic service! Those tires have now been to the Great Lakes, northwest of Chicago, Cincinnati and to local campgrounds. Thank you for providing the means to enjoy family time with my 4 grandchildren and 92 yr old Mom!

by:

I haven't used the new tires and wheels as of yet. They were ordered to replace a15 year old set on a small Travel Trailer that I have been restoring. I bought the Providers for two reasons, the 81mph rating as I tow outside of California quite a bit and most trailer tires don't like 65-70mph speeds. I also liked the more street friendly tread as I live in the mountains and braking on wet or snowy roads is critical. Tires and wheels arrived very quickly and packaged well. I have heard some folks complain about issues removing the stickers (a heat gun or blow dryer makes removal very easy). My only issue was one tire had a couple of gouges in it that appeared to be from when the tire was mounted. A call to etrailer and an e-mailed picture and they had a replacement headed my way. They also provided a UPS return shipping label at no cost. As has been my experience in the past with these folks, etrailer goes above and beyond to provide some of the best customer service I have ever experienced (having owned my own business for 40+ years I have had many occasions to deal with various companies customer service departments). Good products shipped in a timely manner at a fair price with exceptional customer service, what more can a person ask for!

by:

Had an excellent experience. Found what i needed quickly, product had a great price and the product was delivered in a very reasonable time frame. I would recommend etrailer to anyone looking for tires.

by:

Great product. And if you don't need it yesterday, shipping was free. Similar products were 50-80 bucks more at the local dealerships (who say they have killer prices. Ha!)

Things to be a ware of: how deep is the wheel's dish that you're replacing? Same? Mine was not, but weighted on the trailer it still fit excellent. Take your new wheel(s) straight to the shop and have them spin balanced.

These replaced the units on my Mastercraft Trailer. I also pimped them out with chrome lug nuts!

Everything is hunky dory! Thanks for the follow-up.

by:

Installed these tires about a year ago, they arrived well-packed and in great condition. We have been on several trips up and down the east coast, the tires so far are performing great.

by:

Ordered tires Sunday and received on Wednesday, fast and packaged well. Tires look great, better than I expected. Put on boat trailer Thursday, very well satisfied so far. Haven't pulled boat yet but am sure they will perform well. Am happy and couldn't find a better price anywhere. These are quality tires and I recommend anyone looking for good tires to buy from Etrailer.com, I know I will.

Very pleased with these tires and wheels. Shipping was very quick and well packaged. The cost was less than tires only at most places and I needed 3 wheels too. I will shop eTrailer again. Thanks.

After a year of use, I am still very pleased with these wheels and tires.

by:

It's tough to review a wheel and tire. The product arrived when it was supposed to and is exactly as described. It was well-packed and undamaged. I also appreciate that etrailer provides lots of relevant info about the product, which helps to get the order right. That means that, yes, the bolt pattern and tire size were right.

Still rolling fine.

Pretty hard to truly review tires before they are mounted. But etrailer is one of the best suppliers that I have bought from. Shipping was fast and the tires look great. I will go with their reputation and expect great service from the tires.

Love the Taskmaster ST205/75R 14" radial tires and wheels for my Jayco 165 camper. They were an upgrade from former Bias Ply 13" tires. They run cooler and trailer better than the smaller bias ply tires! Hope they continue to wear well! Tom

Tire and wheel came quickly and look great. It will be a spare so no info on performance, hopefully for a long time.

Tire and wheel were as advertised and just what I needed.

by:

Any time we have ordered from Etrailer, we have received great service. They carry quality products and we receive orders usually by the next day.

by:

This tire wheel and combo is hard to beat for the money. Two out of my four wheels had a couple chips in them on the edge from the mounting of the tires. No big deal, I touched them up.
Was hoping my tires would be a little fresher. They were manufactured in China the 16th week of 2017, so a little over one year old. Not really a deal breaker for me.
One other minor complaint is that only one of the four tires was mounted with the manufacture date on the outside. Again, not a deal breaker.
As usual etrailer gave me great service and a great price.
BTW, these are load range C tires.

by:

The tires and rims I purchased from etrailer have been working great for me. I installed them on a UTV trailer and have traveled many miles across the west and they have worked flawlessly. Thank You etrailer.

by:

Awesome and smooth transaction and deli very

by:

Second purchase. Great customer service. Item delivered as scheduled with great packaging. Product very good looking, great tire tread. Can't beat the pricing. Recommend that anyone needing boat or trailer parts, try this company FIRST..I should mention that last month we purchased a Fulton 2spd enclosed boat winch. Extremely pleased with this product as prior winch was a nightmare reeling in our 19' fiberglass (very heavy) boat. Strongly recommend anyone to deal with etrailer for their boat/trailer needs. A satisfied customer......

by:

Tires look great price was right they delivered them quick happy with everything.

by:

Very good product which arrived yet d early. etrailer had good tracking information and always seemed very concerned about order.

by:

20 year old utility trailer blew tire on 7 hour trip and damaged wheel bearings on blown side. Spare saved the day, but needed new tires all the way around. Hubs, posts, and rims were rusted so decided to replace everything. Tire/Rim combination was cheaper than just tire replacement at Wally World, so it was a no-brainer.
Wheels look great and pre-greased hubs went on without a hitch.
Ordering from etrailer couldn't be easier and components at this price point and quality can't be beat.
I couldn't be happier.

by:

We take our camper to relatively local spots in moderate weather conditions.

After coming to the realization that our new 'looking' tires were actually original to our 1998 camper (by the tread separating from the tire on the road) we needed to replace them very quickly. The rims were also looking a little rusty, and with our Camper in storage, it wasn't going to be easy to swap out a full set of tires one at a time, so we decided to go with new tires and rims.

After a few trips to the local tire shops to price them, this site was recommended, and the reviews seemed favorable.

These were slightly cheaper than what we could get 'off the floor' at assorted mega stores in the area, but the tires are clearly a good quality (And looked a lot better than the those available in this area). The tread pattern almost matched the 'fancy brand' we bought on our trip to replace the blown tire, and appeared to be of a similar quality.

Shipping was extremely quick and the cost was still less than buying locally. The tires arrived individually boxed and ready to install. I'd recommend this source for tires to anyone needing a decent tire at a great price.

by:

I bought the tire and wheel to be used as a spare, but it looks good. The price was good, and Jay was extremely helpful with questions that I had. The shipping was free, so that was a plus, and it only took 2 days to get here. Thanks.

by:

The wheels were neatly boxed so they didn't get scratched up or dirty. The tires are awesome looking vs my old bias plys. And i really like the tracking system that showed who was involved in the order and the detailed map showing the product's progress en route.

by:

Tires and wheels arrived on time and quality of tires seems good. No complaints what so ever!

by:

These are excellent quality tires and wheels. We used them on a 3000 lb. camper and drove between 60 & 70 mph on the Interstates - No issues.

  • How to Pick Out Bearing Buddy For 1998 Aljo Skyline 5th Wheel
To help you get the correct bearing buddy, you will need to measure the inner diameter of your hubs where the dust caps fit. I recommend using a caliper like # PTW80157 because this is a very precise measurement needed. There isn't a way to look this up with just the trailer info as that's not info that's on record anywhere. I've attached a link to a page that has all of the Bearing Buddy options we offer as well.
