Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
P2-Rated Lights
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Here we have Optronics thin-line LED trailer clearance and side marker light, part number MCL66RB. The lens of this light is sealed and waterproofed with the housing. Inside are six LEDs that draw a total of 0.048 amps at 12.8 volts. The light is designed to surface mount using mounting holes that are 3 inches on center. The light is a two wire design, meaning you will have one wire lead for ground and the other wire lead will serve as your power connection. Next we are going to hook up the light to a power supply so you can see how it looks. We will connect the white wire to our ground and the black wire to our power. Next we will turn off the overhead lights so you can see how bright the light is. And that does it for Optronics thin-line LED trailer clearance and side marker light, part number MCL66RB.

These are nice, they are completely sealed from moisture and are more than bright enough. Extra work to change the entire fixture instead of a light bulb but more than worth it.

- Matching Horse Trailer Clearance Lights and Light BarI think that your selection of light bar # MCL78RB and clearance light # MCL66RB will look could together. Since the clearance lights get screwed onto a surface you shouldn't have a problem with them getting knocked off. I have linked videos on each of these lights for you.

I usually use some self-tapping screws because clearance lights are typically mounted to metal. I do recommend using some butyl tape # AL28FJ on the back side of the lights to help prevent water from leaking into the wall through the screws.
