These Lights were a perfect fit for my RV. They easily fit over the OEM flush mounted incandescent lights that were very dim by comparison. The soft rubber gasket that came with them made installation very easy and watertight. As you can see in the picture, I replaced both my brake & back-up lights. I've had several compliments on their looks by people that saw my RV before I installed these too! But most of all, I'm very satisfied with the huge increase in brightness when I need it. I would recommend these for any do-it -yourselfer out there to upgrade existing trailers, or for something you're building!

by:

These lights have been an outstanding upgrade from the original incandescent brake/turn/tail/reverse lights on my department's 1992 water tanker. The diodes in the lights are really bright and can be seen clearly at nighttime or during the day. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

by:

Etrailer has always been a big help for our lighting needs.

by:

The pictures speak for themselves !! Couldn't be happier Just gotta get the taillights that match now. STL190RB

by:

Bolt mount location was the same as a replaced Whelen product making for an easy replacement. Time will tell on longevity in a wet location. Price seems reasonable.

by:

Good quality product and fast shipping. The light is not too bright. Make a good some light or compartment light.

by:

We love all the products we have purchased. Well designed and very easy to install.

  • Trailer Reverse Lights That Do Not Require A Hole For Recessed Mounting
For white led backup lights with a bracket, you can use the Trailer Light Mounting Bracket # BK70BB with a PVC Grommet # a70gb and the 6-1/2" backup light of your choosing. I recommend the Light Guide LED Truck/Trailer Light # BUL602CRB. These lights both act as a backup light as well as a provide an additional tail light to ensure that the you are clearly seen. You will need a 3-Wire Pigtail # A45PB to connect the light to the wiring on your trailer. We also have either the Hot-Line...

  • What Is The Amperage Draw On The Optronics 55-Watt Halogen Utility Light # QH16CTS
The amp draw is 4.5 amps per light on the Optronics 55-Watt Halogen, Multi-Directional, Area Utility Light # QH16CTS. If used on your 2004 Chevy Silverado you will need to use the Draw-Tite Wiring Kit # 118151. This kit will allow you to run a separate 12 gauge wire with a 10 amp in-line fuse to the positive side of the vehicles battery. This will keep the lights from drawing power on your factory wiring harness which could cause problems. You will also want to be careful when installing...

The light output of each light in kit # DLL50CC is 1000 candela. The literature for this set states 440 lumens per light, 880 combined.

  • Why is the Optronics LED Clear Oval Trailer Utility Light # BUL72CB Not Certified as a Backup Light
The Sealed, 6-1/2 inch Oval LED Trailer Utility Light, Flange Mount, 10 Super Diode - Clear, item # BUL78CB, does not meet DOT FMVSS 108 requirements, for backup lights so it cannot be sold as a backup light. That does not mean that the light cannot be used in that situation for applications where a DOT requirement does not need to be met. In short, the Trailer Utility Light, item # BUL78CB, can be used as a backup light, but if your trailer needs to meet DOT requirements you will need...

  • How to Convert a 4-way into a 7-way for Backup Lights on a Boat Trailer
There are three things that you will need to do to add reverse lights to your boat trailer. The first thing you will need to do is add a 7-way connection on your trailer. You can use the 7-way # HS381-9000 with the junction box, or you could go with the Pollack 7-way Connector # PK12706. The big difference between these two is that with the junction box you will make all of your wiring connections inside the junction box, but you need to keep the junction box in a safe place, so it doesn't...

  • Recommendations for a Trailer Mounted Utility Light for Night Boat Docking
With a clear lens and 42 diodes, light # BUL90CB, would be plenty bright for your application. If you wired it into the running light circuit, you would just have to have the truck running lights on to power the light and not have to install a switch. Of course this would mean the light would be on all the time with the truck running lights. The electrical components in the light are sealed. The gasket offers further protection from the elements and would work well for your application. A...

  • Installation of Extra Reverse Lights on 2006 Ford F-250
The amp draw is 4.5 amps per light or 9 amps for 2 lights on the Optronics 55-Watt Halogen, Multi-Directional, Area Utility Light # QH16CTS. With that much amperage draw I would not recommend to connect them to your factory wiring harness. It could cause overloading problems and damage your vehicles wiring harness. If you want to install the 55-watt lights on your 2006 Ford F-250 you will need to use the Draw-Tite Wiring Kit # 118151. This kit will allow you to run a separate 12 gauge...

  • LED-Type White Trailer Backup Light for Bass Tracker Trailer
We do offer LED-type trailer lights with backup lights included, such as # STL211RB and # STL201RFMB, but none in the size/shape of # STL15RB. However, I can offer you an alternative. For a really bright and useful white LED backup light for your trailer you might want to consider a separate light such as the Optronics 42-diode surface-mount # BUL90CB. This 7-inch diameter round light will let you almost get a tan too if you want! Simple 2-wire connection to your reverse light circuit...

  • Is Additional Part Necessary to Prevent Breakaway Battery From Draining?
If you have tapped into the red wire from the 12V battery lead as in the attached diagram, the power is coming from your truck's battery and not the breakaway battery and you'd be just fine. If you are tapped into the wiring in any other manner you will want to change it to the 12V battery lead. As for back-up LED lights I recommend the Transit LED Backup Light # BUL90CB which is a 7" clear light that is surface mounted, waterproof and corrosion-resistant. For a combination taillight/backup...

  • Can I use a Halogen Spotlight as a Reverse Light to See Better Behind my Horse Trailer
These will certainly provide enough light. My concern would be that they provide too much light and would considered rear-facing headlights. There are DOT restrictions about how bright rear-ward facing lights can be so as drivers behind you are not blinded. The Custer Halogen Light you were looking at does not comply with this regulation. I would suggest instead, using brighter reverse lights. We have several backup LED lights that will be brighter than standard incandescent lights, but...

  • Replacement LED Utility Light for the Outside of a Travel Trailer
Transit LED backup light # BUL90CB would definitely be bright since it uses 42 diodes. Take a look at the video I have linked to get an idea of the brightness. But to determine if it will fit in place of the lights you have now you would need to go by the mounting hole measurements. The light mounting holes are 6-1/4 inches apart on center. If that is what you have then this LED light is a good option.

  • Trailer Lighting Needed for Loading a Boat onto a Trailer In the Dark
The Optronics Transit LED Backup Light, part # BUL90CB would be a brighter light than the Optronics Sealed, Oval LED Trailer Utility Light, part # BUL78CB. It would work great for a lighting up the area behind your boat trailer for loading a boat in the dark. The # BUL90CB is also a submersible light which means it has a sealed, waterproof housing and lens. • How to Connect the # STL42RB Tail Lights to a 1958 Trailer with 2 Wire Lighting System
The 4 inch Round Sealed LED Stop, Turn or Tail Light, item # STL42RB, uses a 3 wire pig tail, item # A47PB or # A45PB, to connect to your existing trailer wiring. The plug on the pigtail plugs into the back of the tail light and is then hard wired to your trailer wiring. It sounds as if your original tail lights were grounded to the trailer frame through their mounting studs, so a third wire was not needed. When connecting the 3 wires from the 3 wire pig tail, you will ground the white...

  • LED Backup Light Recommendation for a 2015 Ford F-150
Your 2015 Ford F-150 should have a 7-way trailer connector at the rear of it. The wire running to the center pin is the reverse light circuit and would be the wire to use for adding a reverse light. The part # BUL10CB would work as a back up light but it is a recessed mount light that would require cutting a hole in your trailer.
