Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
Surface-Mount Light
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Hot-line LED Trailer Backup Light. This white light serves as a backup light for your trailer. It's a full LED system. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, burn brighter, and they're more efficient. With LEDs, you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments.
This unit features a polycarbonate lens and housing that's very strong and durable. It's got the clear lens with white LEDs, allows plenty of light to come through. It is a two-wire design. White wire's your ground. Black wire's your power wire.It mounts directly on the surface of the trailer.
There's two mount holes right here. Mounting hardware not included. And it can be mounted horizontally or vertically, whatever works best for your application. It's SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. It's got a nice sealed design here so the connection points and the wiring are all protected from the elements.
The product's is made U.S.A. The overall length, I measured edge-to-edge, and got a measurement of 15-1/4. Top to bottom is a 1-1/4" tall, and then front to back is about a 1/2" deep.We're going to hook it up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it, and then we'll also turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a lower light setting. You can see here that this light sends out a nice bright consistent signal. It has multiple LEDs in here, or multiple diodes, so the multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall output of this light.That's going to do it for today's look at the Hot-line LED Trailer Backup Light..

The light is a great asset to my boat trailer. The light really illuminates the boat ramp and my driveway when backing up. I added a 2nd fixture to the passenger side of the trailer a bit later. I wish the fixture had listed its lumen output. Also, it would be nice to see a video of the fixture outside versus on a bench so we can see how it illuminates at night. Otherwise, I like the light and the quality is good after many submersions at the ramp.

Not waterproof.
Installed two of these as backup lights on my trailer. First one developed condensation inside the light before the trailer left my yard. It was replaced by etrailer under warranty. Second light also had condensation inside after about a month. I never installed the warranty replacement unit.
These lights might be good for something, but exterior use on a trailer isn't it.

Had installed 2 of these on my flatbed to use as reverse lights. They worked great for 1 month, then had gotten about a 1/4" of condensation inside them. Drilled drain holes in the bottom of each and then after another 3 months, I started loosing LEDs in them. Very dissatisfied. I have sense changed to a different light from another website.

I placed an order for some white LED backup light and a light bar for my boat trailer. Everything was in stock and shipped out the next day. I received the order in good shape and saved a ton of money over a local shop for the back up lights, local shop did not have the light bar and would have had to order it taking weeks.

- Which Pin On a 2018 Ford F-150 Trailer Connector Is For Reverse LightsYes, the center pin for the 7-way trailer connector on your 2018 Ford F-150 is for the reverse light circuit. If the vehicle is placed into reverse then the pin will become active and send power to the trailer. I have attached a selection of our backup lights for you below. I recommend the Hot-Line LED Trailer Backup Light Bar part # 328-003-6017W because its's easy to install and has LED bulbs. In order to run the power wire from this light to the trailer connector you can use part # DW07550-1.

Thank you for your review. Since this is an exterior light it has not been tested for lumen output, but based on similar items it is probably 350 lumens.
