I'm happy with the product but have one observation. The length of the hitch pin is about 3/16 inch too short to use with the included washers. I can only get it to lock correctly with no washers. Thanks1752123

Easy to defeat it's security; not including an angle grinder or the lock picking lawyer. It is the exact replacement for the original Transit Platform rack lock sold at Performance Bike. I purchased this to connect my new Curt Tray-style Bike Rack (model # 18085) to my new Curt Custom Fit-Class III- 2", Trailer hitch (model # 13530). All of this went on my 2008 Lexus CR350 SUV. I was concerned that was not listed to fit the Curt model hitch and bike rack but it was exactly what was needed to keep. My new equipment locked. I could not be happier. This lock works well. It really secures the bike rack
to the trailer hitch. I found someone selling a ratchet set at a garage sale

This anti-rattle hitch lock was recommended to me by etrailer to fit a Curt 2 bike rack. Curt does not make an anti-rattle hitch lock for their bike rack nor would they recommend one. However, etrailer provided great assistance to recommend a product that would fit. A previously purchased lock did not fit as the threads did not match. The manufacturers try to sole source their products by changing thread configurations so only their products work on their equipment. Be careful when ordering from varied suppliers to insure products work together. This product is sturdy and meets my needs to fit the Curt rack and provides security for my rack when traveling.1119868

Ive been using the anti-rattle hitch lock for about a year now and have no problems. It works well. The bolt is strong and provides a sturdy, tight fit for the rack. Lock has been working well although have not had it in any severe weather, water, ice or dirt conditions to see if any impacts to the lock mechanism.

This is exactly what I needed. After trying a couple of 'hardware store' pin locks that didn't fit, Savanna and Amy at etrailer customer service found the right part for me.992863

Still going strong after a year on the vehicle. Hasn’t been a problem at all

Pros:Unique product that works with the Curt 18065 rack; bolt is of decent quality.
Cons: Plastic shell on the lock falls apart in your hand; shell is not moisture-tight; sliding dirt cover is a loose piece inside the shell that falls out when the end cap is removed; keyhole faces under the car when the lock is on the left (as necessary with the Curt rack); very overpriced, especially considering the cheap plastic shell.1391636

this hitch locking pin SR0901 is used to replace the unlockable
hitch pin came from my sport rack 2 bike carrier SR 2901, with
this locking pin I feel safer in use. And satistically from customer
response this locking pin SR0901 has no break down record
to date. ( The unlockable pin A30901 LHP have been mentioned
two times by customer due to breakage ).97087

Thanks for the update!

It’s the exact product for my sportrack vista. The only issue is a small one. The key cover is loose so i will need to tape that. Its a known issue looking at reviews. But finding an alternative is not so easy because no size is published for the bolt and sportrack was zero help for that.but etrailer shipped quickly and fair pricing.1449267

The Thule Bike Rack Thread is not metric and what you send is metric.

Unfortunately I bought it a year ago and did not use it until last weekend and had to buy a "normal" Screw to fix it.508718

Although Thule owns SportRack, the bike rack hitch locks from Thule and SportRack are NOT interchangeable. Since you have a Thule bike rack, youd need to go with a Thule hitch lock, which is part # THSTL2.

Thule has quite a few different lock cores. Its more secure for their customers that way an owner of a particular bike rack, can access every example of that same model.You can purchase a core kit from Thule and replace the locks so that you have a matching set on Thule products. They do not necessarily carry over to be used with Sportrack.

Great lock. Anti-rattle. Purchased Curt bike rack & etrailer hitch. Getting into bike riding for exercise. Rack came anti-rattle pin. But did not lock. Researched & seen lot of others had problems finding aftermarket locking pins with matching threads. Called & spoke with rep. Found pin & guaranteed match with Curt bike rack. Fast delivery. All worked out well. Very satisfied with customer service.848488

Bought this for the lock only to replace the one I lost for my SportWORKS bike rack. Sportworks was purchased by Thule, and SportRack is also owned by Thule. Confused? Thule kept much of the Sportworks design, but lowered the quality to save money. Thule changed some parts so you have to buy Thule. One of those parts is the locking hitch pin. If you have a Thule bike rack, you must use the Thule hitch pin. Luckily, I only lost the lock, not the 5/8 diameter Sportworks hitch pin. This SportRack lock is almost a perfect match for the Sportworks I lost. It looks exactly the same, except it is rectangular, while the one I lost was round. Unfortunately, it seems of lesser quality- the key cover is loose and rattles partially open, and one end of the lock is not sealed with the plastic cover because it is also used for the SportRack cable lock and that is where the cable is attached. While I may lose another lock, I probably won't lose the pin. So, I am ordering another one of these for a backup lock. Hopefully, the key cover will be tighter. I am also trying the Swagman hitch pin with 5/8" threads and see if I can use that for a second bike rack on my other vehicle.414178

This is the only hitch lock I found to fit the threads on a Curt bike rack. The lock is not as robust as I would like compared to other hitch locks but it performs as needed to further deter a potential unwanted removal. Curt does not have a hitch lock for their bike racks. This purchase was a replacement for a lock purchased at a competitor. That lock was supposed to work with our bike rack, but did not. We then purchased this lock from etrailer. The lock has worked great (just as advertised). We are very happy with both our etrailer purchases (we also purchased the bike rack from etrailer).
