Lock works great to secure my bike rack.
Fits a Tesla Model Y to mount a Thule bike rack.
Unfortunately the screw bolt did not fit into the 1.25 hitch receiver and was unable to thread the bolt. However, I was able to use the other Kuat transfer bike rack bolt instead.
I have a Tesla model Y and a Thule bike rack. The problem is the Thule anti rattle lock is too long, I can't place the lock on the pin because the wiring harness plug blocks access. And the Thule lock key hole is in line with the pin so you need like 6-8 inches of clearance past the pin to actually be able to lock and unlock it.
This kits lock fits perfect on the Thule pin and since the lock is at 90 degrees, I can use it with my model Y hitch.
This kits pin also seems to fit the Thule rack. But this kits pin is a bit thinner than Thule. So weirdly enough this kits lock seems to fit better on the Thule pin since it doesn't wiggle around as much as it does on its included pin.
Also a nice plus, it comes with 3 keys.
High quality materials and construction. I did not purchase this item for the specified bike rack. However, the pin is the only one I could find of the right diameter for my application. It looks like it will work just fine. Thank you.
Nothing wrong with the part but Don't expect an Amazon level of customer service if you need to return something. I've always had good luck with etrailer until now. I ordered this part based on information I had and the product description. Unfortunately it doesn't fit what I need. When I initiate the return process they inform me they want as much to ship it back as the part is worth. Never again.

This lock should help a little, but it isn’t a high security device. It locks onto the end of the pin somewhat loosely, and a motivated thief could probably defeat it without too much trouble. I would buy this again.

The lock was the prefect figment for my hitch/receiver.
Not really sure how to rate this. The pin and other hardware that comes with it is identical to what came with my Transfer 2 carrier, so I'd think they could simply sell the lock by itself. It's well made, and the cover fits tightly so it should do a good job of keeping dirt out of the locking mechanism. It does fit very loosely, but I can't hear any rattling while driving.

The lock has been great. I dont use it regularly, but have been on several trips and it performed flawlessly. Still looks brand new, and operates perfectly, even after two long trips that involved very heavy rain for many miles.
Fits Rola racks with m12x1.75. Nicer than the original Rola as well.
The lock for bike hitch is well made, easy to lock and unlock from pin and has a sturdy dirt cover to protect the key mechanism. This is another excellent item among the many I have ordered from etrailer . Very happy with the products they offer, the info, and mailing/handling of items.

Very happy with this lockpin and lock setup. After a year of use and several long trips, dirt cover does a great job keeping water, mud, dirt away from key
Excellent product. Easy to install and remove from my bike rack/hitch. Gave it a good test on vacation to Nova Scotia. Logged over 2000 miles on the car with the bike rack installed using the locking bolt and all was perfect.

What can I say. Another year gone by and the bike rack still performing perfectly.I am very happy with this product. Would definitely recommend to others.
This works well. It would have been better if it was keyed the same as the rest of the Kuat rack

The lock works great and is very smooth and simple to use. However the sealing cover broke afetr only a few uses but thats no big deal and I would buy again. Thanks etrailer!
This rack is the business, we have transported road racing bikes for years, but dirty mud covered mtb bikes are a different problem. This rack allows us to ride and rack our mud covered bikes without any handling issues, wheel removal or concern about damaging the frame/paintwork as the hitch only makes contact with the wheels. Does not matter if we are riding our 26” bikes, our 27.5”s or the fat tired bikes no adjustment no resetting just lift and load could not be easier as a wise person once told (the wife) the rack was worth every penny.
The Kuat trailer hitch lock is a nice compliment to my Kuat bike carrier. It works flawlessly and prevents the bike rack from rattling. The rubber keyhole cover prevents dirt and road grime from getting into the keyhole. I feel confident that my investment in a topnotch bike carrier and TREK bicycles are secure with the Kuat trailer hitch lock.
It is loose on the hitch, potentially bouncing up and down to make rattling noise. Had to improvise temporary solution to stop the metal hitting metal. Otherwise a good tool to lock.

Good. Solved the rattling problem at the base with some sticky foam wrap
Assembly was very easy as the assembly design is well-thought out, requires only the included allen wrench. Fits well on my 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe with our road bikes and also easily accomodates grandkids 20" and 24" wheel bikes. My car hitch has two holes for hitch pins and the smaller one was what the Kuat hitch pin/screw fit into. Very happy that the screw holds rack tight to the hitch since my other rack sways a lot on corners and uneven roads. Rack is also easy to take on/off car as I intend to take it off between uses. Extremely pleased with purchase.
Kuat 2 bike platform rack; wheel mount
Ordered on day 1; promised delivery on day 6; actual delivery on day 3.
I put together the rack myself. Fairly easy to do by myself; at times it would have helped to have another pair of hands. Insturctions are very good. Items are packaged very well so that all bolts/nuts for each piece of the rack are separately packed; all the hardware is not just thrown together in one bag.
My wife's bike is a "step through" and has several items mounted on the frame. So it was very important that we get a "wheel mount" (Fork holds down the front tire not the frame.)
It took me 2.25 hours to put it together...BUT I had a problem with one of the holes which did not line up properly so the bolt would not go through properly...it took me 1.25 hours to figure out the problem and the solution (I had to ream out the hole in the metal frame another 1/16" to get the bolt to align properly.)
I only mounted our bikes on it to drive around the block for a test. We have not taken it on a long trip yet. So far I am very pleased.

It is not typical hay that the lock would not fit. It is that it was too short? Do you have an OEM hitch? If so, what is the year, make, and model of your vehicle.
